when i meet somebody for the first time i always have a few standard questions i ask them...so how about it.

i would like to know about all you wonderful people that i chat and post with on a daily basis.

i was just watching larry king live.

there was this interview with amw.

they were asking for help in their hunt for pedophiles.

If you speak out on something/someone with information that could possibly slander them but is the truth (or cant be proven to be lies) can you be sued by that person for defamation of character, or does it only work if the allegations are proven false?

If that is true then I would recommend Barb..trying to personally sue the elders for deffamation (sp?) of character. That way they can't counter sue her for the same.

Any thought on this?

the "beginning" at john 1:1 is not the beginning of the word, but it is reference to where the story starts in the book of john.

the word comes from the mind of god (the father) by the breath (the holy spirit).

god has a mind = the father .

I totally agree.

IMHO the bible is the equivalent Aesop's tales or Chancers--the Cantabury tales.

It is a guide on how to live. Kinda of like the manuels on child-rearing or cooking or gardening.

It is simply a "How to..." book.

according to that theory...couldn't designer = god; goddess

and then maybe make you a pagan deist...

ok. i am thinking of trying this to maybe get my family to start questioning things.. here's what i want to do.

i want to get one of the ray franz books and casually leave it available for them to pick up.

my mother is not that bright to where she may think its something my dad brought home and open it up.

Are there any other good books out there that aren't widely known as "Apostate literature" with the dubs?

Also I still think my mother may inadvertenly pick it up, she not terribly bright and has a bad memory with names.

JW Rules That Are Just "Too Much"!

i'm curious: what rules have you dealt with that were just "too much" -- whether they were "official" (i.e.

in print) or not?.

i think a good, general one is r-rated movies.

My mother tried to ban me wearing black (as it is the devils color). Ha! I rebelled and wore it anyway.

Also I hated having to go clean the hall...and doing the yardwork was the worst (I always got stuck with weeding)
