Dano - this is the perfect scenario, they are taking your kids to the meetings, so say one weekend that you would like to take their kids along to a Mass or some religious service every now and then they take your kids to the KH. THe majority of JWs would pop into their pompous mode and say my child is not to attend any religious meeting unless it's at the KH.

I want to try something new, any ideas?
by Tameria2001 innormally when jws come to my door, i very quickly tell them i'm not interested in the jws.
and for about a year or so they don't come until that time passes.
well, they came by today, but this time i decided to not tell them to go away but had a nice conversation with the two that were at my door.

What was pointed out to me from a former elder is to go easy, don't start out strong accusing them of this and that. Ask them about the blood issue, say everyone knows that JWs don't take blood, but my "aunt" who is a JW now says you can take blood fractions. Since she always seems to have a scripture to back up what she says, what scripture says blood fractions are OK to take?

Your name caught my eye, I just finished reading Catcher in the Rye a few weeks ago, most people have read it before they finish college, but I finally got around to it, forty years after college age.

I think Carla had a good idea, send her a Christmas card. That will really give the sisters something to talk about as they sit five feet away from their cart and talk about the folks in the congregation.

What is it that showed Alesha, was it something that has to do with JWs?

District convention to be held in assembly hall instead of stadium
by NikL inlast night they announced that this summers district convention will be held at an assembly hall.. this is the first time i've seen this happen.
there are a couple of congregations in the same hall here and they aren't going to the same ones.
they are having multiple dates.. the hall they are going to use can only hold 1500 people max.. just wondering if maybe they just couldnt get anything bigger this year or if the falling numbers are playing a part in this decision.

That's interesting because the kids are back in school now, so will the District Assembly now be only on the weekend? Or will all the blind followers allow their children to miss school to learn about Jehovah?

Anyone have someone move in and take over the congergation?
by rickroll ini have been in two congregations where someone moved in from the big city and took over with the attitude of the northerners when they go south, i come from where they do it right.
like bulls in china shops they remove people and do the house cleaning like the political org cult it is.

I remember a Congregation in Brooklyn a decade or two ago that had either a CO or new elder sent to them and he DFd basically everyone in the Congregation. I think it was the Spring Creek Cong.
