Whaaat??? Are you all from Britain? Is that why you find it funny...? I think there were only like two moments during which I chuckled―very lightly at that.

Oh hell...
just found out that in the congregation we used to attend there are two young brothers, both are sons of elders and recently engaged to girls in neighboring congregations.
instructions are that they may not sit together at assemblies or meetings.
but get this….they can’t even ride in the same car even if their parents are also in the car.
Never knew dating couples couldn't sit together... I was once asked that question by one teacher, and I answered that couples can be together at meetings. That's how it is in the congregations I've attended in Canada. Apparently, some congregations are sick as hell, though...

the wt input is there toward the bottom of the page.
zeb, you have already told us of this quote. However, when asked to provide a source for this quote, such as where you found it, you have not answered. Would you be able to tell us now where exactly can this statement be found?
Thanks in advance.

(Still love you, Britain...)
this book has been recommended to me a few times.
is it worth reading?.
how could i get a copy without paying the massive amount stated on amazon and ebay?
this was first said in 1918 and adjusted to "will never die" in 1920. of course, the wts taught that the anointed had to die to go to heaven; but there was no great crowd teaching then, so they were talking about all non-anointed people on earth.
the wts members were known as bible students then and had been expecting the end in 1914 and it was adjusted.
one date that was stressed at that time was 1925. so i think they idea was that people living in 1918 would be alive to see the end in 1925, which of course did not happen.
What is dead may never die!
bob dylan has been awarded the nobel prize in literature.
i wonder if they'll let him sing at the ceremony.

Huh. Times are indeed changing. A songwriter wins the Nobel Prize in literature...
Maybe Armageddon is coming after all.

Repeal the 19th Amendment? What for? What the hell? So that women couldn't vote again?
Who's that stupid?
Edit: After reading the news article, I realised we have women to thank that Donald Trump isn't going to win.
and it felt wonderful!!.
i went into the city to where i knew there was a "cosmopolitan witnessing" trolley, because i wanted to ask a simple bible-based question.
the trolley was attended by an elder and a sister who was another elder's wife.
How are Rev. 18.4–8 and Matt. 8.11 seeds of doubt? I don't find anything so crucial about those verses...
when online looking at the recent wt there was a link to this..https://www.jw.org/en/bible-teachings/questions/are-there-contradictions-in-the-bible/.
here are the "big" ones they disproved - though not really:).
if god rested on the seventh day, how has he continued working?where did jesus heal the blind man?will the earth be destroyed?in capernaum, who brought the centurion’s request to jesus?do we all sin?is jesus equal to god or lesser than god?.
Are you sure...? It seems like they covered everything.
Oh, wait...
