  whatever happened to those who came back to jehovah?

  due to slow growth and the constant scrutiny from governments like norway in relation to their harsh disfellowshipping practices,last year in a move that no one expected the watchtower for the first time extended an olive branch to all those who left the organization or were disfellowshipped in the past.considering this practice was introduced over 60 years ago and with a rough estimate that around 100,000 leave jehovah’s witnesses every year the total number is in the several millions.so we should have expected millions to have accepted this invitation and rejoined the organization, the result though was an abysmal few thousands according to a recent jw update.. so now, for the first time, the latest watchtower study magazine for april 2025 gives us an inside view on how this reintegration is coming along, and it doesn't look good!.

  John 9:22, the Pharisees already practiced expulsion from the synagogue, which was also a social death just like JWs.

  Interesting how Jesus shared meals with and healed those expelled from synagogues and other social outcasts from his own Jewish nation.

  JWs think its fine to share meals with, and work with, practice sports with 'worldly' people, but not disfellowshipped JWs. Jesus did the opposite, he spent MORE time with the outcasts than the so called righteous. He ate with them, healed them, stayed in their houses, and died for them.

  I don't care what it says in later letters written by nobody can confirm who, and believed to be inspired by God. Those words contradict Jesus' actions and teachings. I would rather be a Christ follower than a book/Bible follower.

  JWs know nothing. They are more blind than most, because they are so very convinced of their own righteousness...just like the Pharisees.....

  Halcon, good question!

  I don't think the Roman Empire has ended, it has morphed and transformed many times, but everything we have, our legal system, our corporate system, the Catholic Church, are very much from the Roman Empire.

  I am well aware that I could be completely off track with my thoughts in this regard, but at the moment this is where my journey of study and research led me to.

  Duran, the book of Revelation contradicts everyone Jesus spoke of and stood for, namely, non violent resistance, no swords, no blood shed.

  He entered Jerusalem on a mare donkey with her colt foal at foot, the least military looking King in history, he preached peace and he lived peace. In direct contrast to returning Roman conquerors, on their war horses and chariots, with their prisoners in tow.

  Did Jesus change his mind?

  Or did Bible writers change their Jesus?

  I don't think we are in total darkness, or without hope.

  Christians are just looking to be rescued all the time, but Jesus said the Kingdom is already here, but very few would enter because they can't see it. And if you can't see it, neither can you collaborate with it.

  Jesus asked would he even find the faith when he returned?

  There will be no giant rescue operation, called Armageddon or anything else, Jesus already did that with his sacrifice. It is up to his true believers and followers to spread the kingdom message of love and justice for all, distributive justice, and where there are even just two gathered in his name, he will be there working alongside us.

  The two most difficult concepts for humans to grasp and get on board with, because humans, unlike animals, are the only creatures on earth riddled with both Ego and Greed.

  Christians don't believe in the Big Bang that began it all, but they do want a Big Bang to end it all. That's not what Jesus taught or demonstrated in his life.

  I personally find the Gospel of Thomas a very encouraging source of Jesus's teachings and wisdom, without the surrounding stories.

  The bottom line is that to love like Jesus did and demonstrated, is to humble ourselves completely, be like a small child in humility. Rejecting the ingrained philosophy of our patriarchal and hierarchical society, just like Jesus did.

  Practicing true justice, distributive justice where everyone has enough, not some arbitrary political concept, but the idea that once we have enough for our household, we share with others who do not yet have enough.

  Think about the true meaning of Sabbath, and Jubilees, and fallow fields. It all comes down to that justice.

  I used to believe that these verses applied to our day too, but a year of research into the Roman Empire and specifically the years those NT scripts were written, shows to me that both Jesus and Paul were talking about resistance to Rome, and Paul is writing specifically during Nero's time period, the worst persecutor of Christians, and therefore the antichrist Paul was thinking of. Neither Paul nor Jesus were thinking and writing about 2000 years into the future.

  The WT is working with several UN initiatives for interfaith collaboration.

  You'll find various WT corporations listed among many other faiths on United Religions Initiative and others that I can't remember names of. I did a deep dive 2 years into all the connections, there are many.

  They're fully involved, JWs don't know and don't want to know.

  for those on this forum who still consider themselves christian or students of the bible, are there any bible principles you came across during your own study or research that were never brought out by the gb of the jws but that you found significant or profound?.

  i don't mean doctrinal issues like the trinity, heaven & hell, etc, as these are issues christendom has been arguing over for centuries.

  i mean simple, scriptural principles that the gb could've highlighted at any time, but for various reasons - some obvious, some less so - have chosen not to.. one that stood out to me is in 1 samuel chapters 2, 3 and 4.. young samuel has been dedicated to the temple and is being raised to serve god there.

  They teach righteousness through works, whereas the Apostle Paul stated otherwise.

  The Bible clearly states that Deborah was a judge, WT contradicts the Bible.

  They claim that the NT is inspired by God, but when the verse 'All scripture is inspired by God' was written, the NT didn't even exist yet.

  They never delve into the cultural meaning of NT rules, like about women covering their heads etc, there was a direct cultural reason for this that they are clueless about, among other teachings of Jesus like turning the other cheek, walking an extra mile, givithe inner cloak. These teachings make no sense unless the cultural norms of the 1st century are known.

  WT does no real research.
