  I think we just have to remember, that it is not this individual who is "sick". They are just taught this way. I dont think any jw is overjoyed at the destruction that they are seeing. Just remember the fear we all felt as jws. It's a tool that the SICK organization uses to keep jws loyal. So again, its the org that is sick, not the individuals in the org. If i still believed in the jw theology, I'd be scared and loyal as of today also, seeing those images in my mind, imagining the end of the world. I know, it's really sad.

  So glad I'm out, especially with the events that are happening.

  Gas Prices

  we have been informed in dayton that gas prices will go up by midnight by 4 dollars a gallon.

  i hope this is another false alarm, but i am filling up in either case.

  Prices have remained stable in the Bay Area (CA). On Monday, we were at $1.89 a gallon, today we are at the same.

  We shall see if it remains....

  reports are coming in (bbc) of tracer fire and explosions in kabul, afghanistan.. this is of course wher osama bin laden is holed up - have the fbi/cia managed to successfully pin this atrocity on him already?.

  CNN is reporting that it is not known who is bombing Kabul, or where that video is coming from. They are saying it is not US sponsored. It is very confusing right now.

  Jehovah's Witnesses and arguing...

  one thing i have noticed, both in my own reportoire of personal habits and in those of others posting on xjw boards, is the tendency to argue.. i contrast this to a few other boards i've frequented on a variety of topics.

  obviously there are disagreements, but xdub boards can get really crazy at times.. there is this tendancy for xjw's to argue like rabid dogs; hell, it's not just the x's who do it, current jw's are just as bad.. this is over and above the normal 'spit on the mat and call the cat a bastard' atmosphere that often prevails on discussion boards (although if you ever want to see a really polite board i suggest you go to a lifestyle bdsmer's board!!)..

  are we all psychos?.

  Like I said in another post.... *sigh* why cant we all just get along???

  Ok, the arguements can be a little fun sometimes. But can also get old quick. I say, no one can change another persons world. We all live in our own little world within our brains, and everyone is different. So I guess it's bound to happen. Live and let live, with a few "discussions" along the way. I guess that makes it kinda fun.

  So Sad....

  imagine this.. a little child,about 3 or 4, sitting there, looking around.... he leans over and sees his shoe is untied, he looks up at his parent who doesn't seem to care much, almost falling asleep, so he leans over and ties it all by himself for the first time!

  he smiles proudly and looks up at his parent and tuggs on their shirt.

  the parent looks down with anger and pinches the little boy on the arm real hard.

  Ok, that just made me really really sad. I was picturing it while I was reading it. I dont think it was shoe tying for me. But those meetings. Sitting there as a young girl... all the children that are going thru this still, right now. Well I guess it taught us to pay attention. Hmmm, no wonder I'm so impatient and cant sit still as an adult!

  Very sad indeed. If this is a true memory for you, I'm sorry. Someone should have been there to see your little acomplishment, and given you a kiss on a dry cheek. No tears....

  *SIGH*, why cant we all just get along? NY, I've watched your posts over the past few months. I've always wondered your stand on things and why you are here. Hey, if you can get away with what none of us could, then more power to your jw self.

  I think some of us are just hurt and upset that our congregations did the black and white thing. Sounds like you've got it made with those grey areas, and that's not really fair when eternal fates are at stake. All I can say is to each his own. I dont get you. But what does that matter.

  can a 19 yr old male christian go out with a 19 yr old female jehovah's witness?

  if not, are their any ways around it?

  i me and this female really like each other but cant be seen together due to her religion.

  Well, has anyone here said, yes go for it!? No. No one has. As another poster said, you are too young to be in this territory. There are many other girls that will most likely be better suited for you. Most of us are telling you not to go to this territory because we've been there. All that situations like this cause is heartbreak for the most part.

  Maybe it will work out for you. I hope it does if you decide to pursue things. Just look out!
