Are we losing our way a bit at JWN?
by nicolaou infirstly, i want to be crystal clear how grateful i am for jwn.
it's been my place of support for over seventeen years and it's the first online space i direct anyone to if they are taking steps out of the cult.
i am not bashing jwn - i love this place and appreciate the hard work and expense simon puts in to keep it going.

IMO, if there wasn't so much Trump hate this post would never have been started. Yes, I voted for Trump, first time I ever voted. For one reason, he was not a career politician. I am not a Trump worshiper, a Trump cult member, etc etc. I would just like to see what he can accomplish, and so far he is doing just what I wanted. But the obstructionists which I consider right now to be whiners are out of control. I just had a confrontation on FB with a Trump hater. He admitted Trump had done nothing that actually affected him, it was all based upon his gut feeling. I wish all these haters would just STFU and see how it plays out. -

What are the JWs saying about Trump?
by Wild_Thing inas much as jws say they are neutral, they can't help but discuss politics and label them as either bad or good and somehow connect it back to their dogma.
i remember hearing them discuss it all the time when i was a jw.
i can't help but wonder what the r&f are saying about trump and the many, many controversial events surrounding him.

My wife is a loyal JW. When I bring up something about Trump, she always goes along with what he is doing and dislikes the liberals.

Not posted for a year because mum died did not want blood.
by Witness 007 ini posted here weekly until a year ago when my mum died of a mild form of lukemia which is easy to treat with 2 blood tranfusions a month.
you can live to 100 with treatment, but no my mum chose to die a faithful witness after 2 years of chemo and hell for her family and doctors.
her chemo doctor cried when she only had weeks left to live knowing that she could be saved with one bag of blood!

Angelophone
by TheWonderofYou inwith the success of the photodrama in mind, and the realisation that records were now highly popular, a few bible students set up the angelico company in 1916. ostensibly it was to manufacture and sell phonographs, but with each purchase came a set of 50 angelophone recordings.
for some reason they were numbered 49-98, although it is certain that no 1-48 were ever issued.
henry burr (1882-1941) was a canadian singer of popular songs from the early 20th century, an early radio performer and producer.

Thanks so much for sharing this. I have a collection the the Angelophone records I inherited. I had no idea of the history behind it. Now I'm going to have to dig them out and play them on the only thing I still have that can play them, a WT portable phonograph.

Anybody else having trouble walking away?
by JW-Matrix inok...so i'm a 19 year old fifth generation jw.

I'm really curious about your fifth generation roots. I am 62, third generation who's roots go back to 1910. I was an only child of Gilead grads, and have thought that my parents really went against the grain having me. Being fifth generation means several of your ancestors did that.
