2005 WT CD-ROM now on reexamine.org
by reexaminer inplease go here for download and instructions on how to burn this file onto a cd.
please note for those whe have not done this before, you can't just download the file and use it off your computer.
it must be burned onto a cd following the instuctions on the download page "how to burn an iso file" .

Who did Satan hurt?
by Gill inso, who did satan ever hurt in the bible?.
apart from the killing of job's children, which jehovah 'allowed' him to do in his 'do your worst,' speech to satan, who did satan ever physically hurt?.
i've been trying to think of an occassion where he physically damaged anyone and can only come across jehovah, and instructions from jehovah to have people kill eachother and jehovah killing people.

I knew you were reading the book and I was fairly sure that's what prompted this thread. I too just finished the book and am in agreement with your take on it.

I totally agree with your take on it too. Give yourself some time with Tetra, things may come into focus. What has become very obvious to me through this book and other reading is that originally the serpent was the good guy and Jehovah was the bad guy. Not very close to what has been "inculcated" in me since infancy but very likely the truth. Thanks for posting all those scriptures, now I have easy access to them.
I guess I'm ahead of you because I have already decided it's all just a crock and I'm just going to enjoy life Funny thing, I started in the reverse order as you, I read C of C first and that separated me from the JW thinking, and then writings such as Runningman's excellent book (actually Thomas Paine's 'The age of reason' and Joesph Wheless' 'Is it God's Word'" first) opened my eyes about the rest.

I don't know if it's like this everywhere, but where I live, they no longer teach it in school. I have a couple of teenagers in my family that have a real hard time reading cursive, and they are 4.0 students. In fact they can hardly read it at all.

Maybe this discussion should be start with a premise so that everyone will be discussing the same thing.
The premise could be this: What the Bible says in the OT is true and actually happened.
Or it could be this: What the Bible says in the OT is just Hebrew mythology.
