So believers complain about the atheists and those that side with them applaud, and the athiests lay it on the line and the believers don't like it and the other atheists applaud. All I know is that I lived way too long in the JW world where no one was allowed to question anything. so now I can't imagine living in a non-skeptical world that doesn't scrutinize everything. If you want to live in a world where everyone pats you on the back and never challenges you, that world is readily available, but it doesn't exist here.

If you are not happy with your looks, next time you are in a busy waiting room, or maybe at the mall, pretend the doors have just been locked and you can switch bodies with anyone there.

Tec,
Have you ever admitted on this forum that you were wrong about something? I may be wrong, but it seems to me you always justify your statements somehow.

I didn't realize that would be a problem, it's not much of a secret considering the long threads that have resulted from the threads they start. Unless it was posted in the wrong place. Many people here just don't understand their claims me included.

Governing Body Hollywood JACKASSERY
by Terry inhollywood likes to make movies "inspired by" actual persons and events.. when they do, many critics point to the various facts which have been changed in the creation of the film.
a male character may be transformed by screenwriters into a female.. the actual location of the true incident becomes a different country altogether.. a tall person may be portrayed by a short actor.. the decade of the true incident may be switched to a totally different time period.. names are changed and characters may be added or removed.. things never spoken are quoted as though actual.
motives are suddenly attributed to people opposite to reality.

Very good Terry!
I clicked on this thread this morning, just reading the first paragraph, and saving it for later. But the word "inspired" stayed in my mind, and it brought to mind 2 Tim 3:16. For some time I have been concentrating on the "all scriptures" part of that and realizing what the term meant when those words were written. But focusing on "inspired"...why isn't the entire bible just like the Hollywood "inspired" you speak of? Stories told, not written down, and passed along generation to generation by word of mouth, exaggerated and changed as could easily happen, until someone is "inspired" to write it down.
Don't mean to hijack your thread, Terry, just wanted to share my thoughts which maybe deserve another thread.

Tech49 on HOURS, TIME, and REPORTS
by Tech49 ini thought i would share some of my observations on counting field service time, reports, etc.
and how those reports are viewed, to those that are still so fixated on numbers.. i served as secretary on the service committee for many years, and have seen it all!.
i was really disheartened when wt changed the requirement for aux pioneering to allow for 30 hrs, instead of the 50 it has been for so long.
