  What if JWs are right?!?

  i know this is a pointless question, but what if this happened:.

  you came home from work one day, sat down, and turned on the tv.

  there is a sudden announcement that the un has banned all religion.

  I used to sit during the National Anthem. That was until the congregation planned an outting after an assembly to a MLB game. There was a whole section resevered for the group. We got there, found the section and we were the only ones in the entire group of about 30 Jdubs that were in the section prior to the start of the game.

  During the National Anthem, I sat like a good Jdub because I knew many more were there, however as soon as it was over all of the rest of the Jdubs came out of the wood work like cock roaches after the light gets turned on from the hall ways & up to the seats. We are talking elders, MS servents, pioneers, lots of blue blooded JWs. I thought, what a bunch of pussies and I never sat again after that day.

  Can you "fornicate" with your marriage mate? I've heard the WTBTS says that you can. Is this true?

  is it true that the current thinking of jehovah's witnesses is that you can "fornicate" with your marriage mate if you engage in sexual activity that is not approved by the writing department at bethel?

  what are some examples?.

  How many here have actually received a response from the WTS, either by phone or letter, regarding the 607/587 B.C.E. discrepancy?

  i recently called the service department about this.

  first off, what i read in another post is correct.

  the person you talk with will not give you their name.. i asked the question and the brother responds by saying that yes, they get that question all the time.. then he proceeds to tell me that i need to write in to the society with my question and they will give me plenty of information to back up their standing on it.. i told him that i searched the wl cdrom and found nothing, not even under questions from readers.

  This issue has been questioned by phone & letter for decades. The Governing Body knows full well that many in watchtower land have left the organization over this issue and they fail to address it in the QFR is very telling. They would rather let good hearted christains stumble again and again over this issue rather then address it or admit they were wrong.

  gutted - its July, are you growing your goatee yet?

  from my previous thread on allowing beards/goatee's and the pact that you brought up.

  i've started my goatee this past weekend!

  came into work this morning and one guy i worked with looks at me and goes, "wtf is that?

  In my case the goatee was a great tool to help with the fade. The elders don't like it, but not a lot they can really do about it when it comes right down to it. I grew mine while I was still attending meetings, many of the pubs made coments on how good it looked and they did not understand why they did not allow it.

  The first thing they did was scheduled all my talks in the #2 school down in the basement. Then I tried to make arrangements for field service with a couple of elders, they said okay, but on service day they did not show and had made arrangement for someone else to work with me who was not an elder. So the elders did not want to expalain to other pubs why they were working with a brother in service with a goatee.

  It makes them all very uncomforatable and in general you are labeled as someone with a B.A. (Bad Attitude).

  Then once you stop coming all together, they are actually relieved that you are not there causing others to question the stupid rules that they can't justify.

  I recommend the goatee to all faders. But push the envelope, go out in service with it, give talks from the platform. It's fun to watch them squirm!

  Then once you stop, they will most likely leave you alone, they don't really want you back causing pubs to think and question.

  Your wife should alot like my ex-wife. I put up with her crap for 18 years, while she stayed home and never could make her happy. Then after 18 years, I finally lost that attitude that I will do whatever it takes to make her happy. I became aware the life is way to short to live on a day to day basis with such disfunction. Onice I didn't care anymore, her threats to leave me had no more meaning, she lost her power to manipulate me by using my love for her as a tool.

  Now, close your eyes and picture yourself with a spouse who not only loves you, but respects you! Picture yourself with a spouse who you consider your best friend, one you can't wait to spend time with on the weekends because you like doing the same things. a mate to travel with and experience new adventures together instead of door knocking every weekend. One who you know will always have your back and will not betray your trust.

  It took me two years after I divorced to find that person, now I wonder why I put up with that crap for so long. I am happier then I have ever been in my life and she is still as misserable as ever. The break up was very painful and a major set back financially , but in the long run, I am so much better off and only wish I now had done it sooner.

  Don't waist a day with someone who you will never make happy. Or you can let her slowly kill off your love for her one day at a time until you finally wake up one day and just don't give a damn anymore. Life is short, go live it to it's fullest.

  when i was a braindead dubbie we used to say "there are no jehovah's witnesses in prison.

  " of course, that was true, but once again as jws are so fond of doing, it was also a lie by omission of fact.

  as soon as a criminal jehovah's witness was convicted, he was disfellowshipped.

  Now the JWs have elders go into the prisons and convert convicts to JWs. They even are allowed to get baptized.

  I know of a JW who was convicted of murder and has not been DF because he denied it and there are not two witness' to the murder.
