  i'm going out in the morning, but i'm wondering who else here in undercover apostate land will be meeting up with their own respective groups for theocratic activity tomorrow.

  for those of you going, will you be preparing your presentations tonight?.

  Medical Marijuana, Your opinion please?

  do any of you use medical marijuana?

  i go to aa and there are a few who believe medical marijuana is an "outside issue" and they are ok with it.

  i don't know... alcohol doesn't work for me but if it did, i would use it... i wish i could find a "new drug" that works lol.

  Yes it can help with pain issues. There is no physical addiction. I have at times smoked on a daily basis for long period of time and then stop cold turkey to go on a buisness trip and have zero issues.

  If used for medical reasons on a regular basis, you should vap it, not smoke it.

  Edit to add: You can't over dose on MJ. If you get to much, you just fall asleep.

  I also have never heard of anyone beating their spouse in a fit of rage after smoking to much pot. The same can't be said for alcohol.

  Any advice on how to stop attending meetings without being hounded?

  it seems many are attending without wanting to be there at all.. what suggestions can we offer?.

  Break every dumb rule thay have that won't get you DF. Grow a beard and start asking, why is it wrong, says nothing in the bible about it to others in the congregation if anyone says anything. Jesus had one, CT russel had one.. etc. But at the same time ask to work out in FS with the elders and MS. Get a tatoo, if anyone says anything, chalenge it, show them in the bible where it says you should not have a tat, next verse says you should not cut your beard. Start making comments at the WT study on any paragraph that talks about Jesus, really talk Jesus up, talk about Jesus all the time, not Jehovah. They can't DF you for that but they will get really uncomforatable with it all and the fact that others will start questioning their stupid rules that they will be more than happy to see you leave and never come back.

  They may hassle you some, they would only let me give talks in the 3rd school in the basement, the elders and MS would stand me up for FS. Then just leave and tell everyone you were stumbled by the elders. If they kick you out of the MS, tell everyone you were stumbled by the elders.

  It worked for me. I left over 10 years ago after taking this appoach, have had the same phone number since, so the elders know my phone number, they knew where I lived for 4 years before I moved and they never called to try to get me to come back.

  They will be happy to see you go! And they can't touch you, because you never commited a DF offense.

  i realize i peddle carl sagan like christians peddle jesus but i think every one of us who has survived the watchtower, regardless of our current beliefs, should be able to appreciate this.

  in the path to freedom (chapter from one of his books), sagan was discussing frederick (bailey) douglass's life in the early 19th century and his quest for literal freedom.

  How true, it is amazing that the WT and other religions still consider the account of adam and eve as literal with all the physical evidence to the contrary. Keeping people ignorant with information control.

  i know few here know me, although i know many of you through reading your posts.

  maybe it is not right to ask for support, when i generally stay quietly in the background of this forum, but i want only to speak a human misery of the deepest kind.

  When I used the word Hypocrite, I was refering to those who were responsible for the policy that I could not collect baseball cards because it was idol worship. I doublt the average bethelite was responsible for that policy. I was speaking of those at the very top, the policy makers, the members of the governing body who happened to be the last bethel speaker that I heard. It is those who seek all of the worship for themselves, not the average bethelite.

  Bethel speakers are like idols to JWs. Always made me sick how they would all line up to get a chance to shake their hand after a talk that I found incredibly boring. They are like rock stars to the average JW. Oh but I couldn't put up a poster of any sports figures in my room growing up because it was idol worship.

  They just want ALL the worship for themselves. Hyprocrites!

  Little known fact, god cursed the mosquitoes to suck blood for eternity because it was the mosquitoe that put the snake up to deceiving Eve into eating the forbidden fruit. It's true, an angel whispered it into my ear when I asked god for an answer to this quesiton.
