- Day 5. The nuclear power plant went into meltdown because all the worldly people who ran it were killed by Jehovah. The flesh on our body is burning off from the radiation. The brothers and sisters are walking around like zombies looking for someone who can help! We are looking to the elders for guidance but all they say is to "pray and read your bible more". Jehovah why have you forsaken us?

Hilarious Whatsapp message received - FIRST day after Big D
by cognitivedizzy ina hilarious stupid wa message is being circulated amongst jws in my area / country.. i had a hearty laugh at the ignorance and stupidity and brainwashed mentality, different people may express different emotions so you have been warned.
day one after armageddon it seems ages since we last heard the gunshots and screams, today has been really quiet.
the last few weeks have been sheer terror.

GTTM: i will not fight for someone who is not willing to fight for me. why?
life is to short....many on here know this.
there are 2 things i want right now in my life.
1. to be happy
2. to be cult free
GTTM
I felt exactly the same way that you do now in 2001, when my wife acted out much the same way. She started throwing around the leaving and divorce threats and I told her she best not say that anymore unless she really means it because the next time she does, i'm leaving. Why? Because just like you, I came to the realization that life is to short to remain in this type of relationship and never be happy. While we did divorce, it was all worth it in the end because today I am cult free and happy. Hope it all works out for the best.

For the last 4 years that I still attended meetings, I made it point not to attend during the CO visit. Never did understand all the hype of the CO visit. -

Construction Halts & other cutbacks - Here's what I think happened
by Listener into get to the point straight away i think the crane accident that occurred at warwick was a significant catalyst that has caused the org.
to change its plans suddenly.. list of assumptions, not all of them are validated.
- there was a serious crane accident that occurred at warwick approx.

I would think that skilled union contractors might have problems working on a job site with unskilled, free volunteer labor. -

cofty: Stealth the word "Scotch" only applies to whiskey and eggs
That is what I thought, until I saw The Searcher refer to himself as Scotch in this thread... and the main reason I chose that wording over Scottish. We had some good Scotch whiskey at the Scottish/Irish festival too!

Money woes show it ain't the truth
by OnTheWayOut injehovahs people do not beg for money.
[...] we have never considered it proper to solicit money for the lords cause, after the common custom .
it is our judgment that money raised by the various begging devices in the name of our lord is offensive, unacceptable to him, and does not bring his blessing either upon the givers or the work accomplished.

New light! Jehovah now wants us to beg for money. -

Welcome superstevie, Not Scotch, but this week I made Scotch eggs for the first time. I had never heard of them until this year when I attended a Scotch/Irish festival. They were awesome and I plan to make them again.

Intriguing - but Unsubstantiated!
by The Searcher inaccording to one source on a western european 'apostate' website, the org's plan is to abandon the name "jehovah's witnesses" in the future, and replace it with "worshippers of jehovah.".
http://www.bruderinfo-aktuell.de/index.php/fixnews/#comment-4313 .
the gist of the account appears to be a repeat of rutherford's re-branding and debunking of old predictions made by the previous shower of fakers.

If they would make such a major change in order to avoid litigation, this would be the perfect time to change some of the policies that have got them where they are, blood policy, two witness rule. I don't see that happening at this time.
Failure to do that would only continue the problems under a new name. What would be the point?
I hope the next high profile apostate comes out of the WT legal department.

Good points made. I guess if you have to be there, it is something to make it a bit more interesting. I like to mess with my neighbors by naming mine: FBI Mobile van #3
