20 pages for a question that could be answered in 3 words?
Lack of evidence!
i know this question has popped up from time to time but i really would like to know how you guys, those that no longer believe, came to that conclusion?
was it the wts and all its crap?
was it something you read?

they don't want you bettering yourself.
they hate college education.they applaud you if you quit full time secular work and instead, "pioneer".
they cry that they have money problems.
I agree with the OP. There will always be some segment of the population who are attracted to the idea of living forever on earth & social aspects of witness lifestyle.
If they gave up the 'high control' BS and just let people come and go as they wish and exercise their own conscience, they might actually do better in the long run.
just got a phone call from an older sister saying that a couple that got re-assigned from bethel 4 years ago to live at their kh apartment as special pioneers, just received a letter saying "as of january 2016, your special pioneer assignment will be discontinued".. they live in a south miami kh(snapper creek congregation).. this couple had only served in bethel for 15 years before they were sent out into the special pioneer work.
they are now in their mid 50's and the sister said that they have to find part time jobs to support themselves.. the older sister (does not have a pc or internet), says that the couple are just devastated!

i wanna make a poll here.
how many years do you think the jdub cult will exist as is and what will happen to it?.
i say the growth stops this year and starts to decline.
Since I can't get a $5 return by investing my $5 for 15 years, this is a good bet. I will gladly take your $5 in 15 years. Please PM me how I can reach you at that time.

Many thought the same thing like 15 years ago when the WT was exposed as being a NGO in the UN. Didn't happen.
I will take your bet that the numbers will decline to 50% in 15 years. How much $$ are you willing to to put up.
i was invited to a small get-together by a long time friend.
we both served as elders for years.
he is in his late 70s.

John: The only problem with this group that I went to is that they will all be gone in the next 20 years.
As far as the WT is concerned, if they have stopped giving $, they are already gone.
.
there doing this right under my nose but i just found out.
not sure what to do but would like your help on getting me wt information on my headship role and how they shouldn't be doing this with out my permission.
also would like some help on showing my son the ramifications on what happens to someone when they get baptized and how they'll expect him to treat me.
When I quit the WT & divorced my boys were about the same age and not yet baptized. I had a sit down with them and talked to them about waiting as long as possible and used Jesus as an example, he was 30, yet the bible shows he was very spiritual lad at age 12 when he was left behind at the temple. He was the perfect son of god, why did he wait? Answer: to get more training.
I let them know that what ever they decide, I would support them. Have a heart to heart talk with your son, make him realize that if he ever changes his mind in the future, it could cause his mother to never speak to him again, so he best be sure he really wants to make that big of a decision this young in his life.
All the best.
hi.i've been pouring over this site for the past few days looking for some advice and i hope there is someone here that can help a guy out.
i'm desperate.....short bio: i came into the organization after high school and shortly after married a wonderful girl who was born-in.we have been happily married now for nearly 20 years and things were well until 2015 hit.
by the way, i currently serve as an elder and have the ""privilege"" of being the "watchtower overseer".. either here nor there, we were told we would never have children but late last year my wife became prego!!
Hi DK,
The only advice that I would offer is to take your exit slow. During the grieving process, springing this on your wife now might be to much for her to handle. Maybe look into some family counseling outside of the org.
Very sorry for your loss!
here is an idea i tested.
works at both assemblies and conventions.
i have noticed at the last convention and at my last assembly that when i opened up my wifi setting, tons of hotspots came up for people tethering their tablets to their smart phones.
You may be underestimating the open mindedness of young witnesses. There are many young witnesses who have double lives and actually hate being a witness. I could see some not having a problem reading this stuff except for the chance of getting caught by the parental unit.
You could be giving them the leg up to leave sooner than they may otherwise would have anyway.
