Your opinion about dating sites?
by nevaagain ini have been a jw all my life, while i also have a "spiritual divorce", which means i can remarry a jw again.
i am not sure if i want to go that route again and dating in the jw world feels like a struggle sometimes.

Sliced bread may have been the best thing up to 1928. But as AA points out many better inventions since then such as the ipod.
Prior to sliced bread anyone could cut bread with a knife and get the same thing. Prior to the Ipod, it would be physically impossible to carry thousands of songs with me anywhere I went.
My vote goes to the Ipod or mp3 player as the best thing since sliced bread.
Edit to add: probably the smart phone would top the ipod since it can play Mp3 plus much more.

by slimboyfat ini know that some people on the board have experience of being mormons, so i would be interested in your feedback.
at church this afternoon it was an uncanny experience.
in the past i've read a lot about mormons, so i thought i was prepared in general for what it would be like.

SBF: Many aspects of the service remind you of 19th century America: the look of the church, the language, the hymns, the dress, the traditional roles for women
One thing that I have noticed about wacky 19th century american religions is that others seem to revere the leaders of their movements to this day no matter how wacky their ideas were. The Mormons and Christian Science have high regard for their founding fathers.
The Watchtower religion seems almost embarrassed by its founder C.T. Russel and Rutherfraud compared to these others.

I agree with SBF. Tell the elders that you have a right to confront your accuser face to face. In fact, your accuser should have followed the bible and came to you first.
Demand a face to face meeting with the accuser because you want to find out who is impersonating you.
Can you imagine the havoc JWs could make by impersonating active JWs and putting just enough personal information out there that they get busted.
