Is this the beginning of the end?

i have been doing the fade for about a year now from the jw religion.. today i atteneded the service of a non-denominational church and my dub ex-wife's boss was there and saw me.. so i fully expect that by tomorrow that the local gestapo elders will be aware of the fact that i was at another church.

what do you want to bet i will be getting a shepherding call next week, even though i have not seen these loving bothers in many months.

what a joke!.

sounds like i'm screwed!

I guess I can claim I was week spiritually since I have not been to any meetings lately and I went in my moment of weekness.

I was invited by a co-worker so I can blame it on him, he made me do it! LOL!

I got more spiritual encourangement from going to this chruch one time than I have in a year of JW meetings.

It just will piss me off that they have not cared one bit about me in the last year while at the same time spending hundreds of hours knocking on strangers doors trying to convert them. And now they will show up at my door in a heart beat ready to drop the axe.

larc, Thanks for your thoughts.

I don't think I can ask her boss not to say something. First I don't know her that well, I only met her one time. I think she would think that would be an very wierd request to ask her not to tell my ex that she saw me at her church. I think that would guarantee that she would say something. (gossip)

I guess I could use the two witness rule against them if I need to.

Can they DF me just for attending even though I have not joined?

Today I atteneded the service of a non-denominational church and my dub ex-wife's boss was there and saw me.

So I fully expect that by tomorrow that the local gestapo elders will be aware of the fact that I was at another church. What do you want to bet I will be getting a shepherding call next week, even though I have not seen these loving bothers in many months. What a joke!

Any advice on how I might use some spiritual warfare stratagies when these kind brothers come to visit would be greatly appreciated.

I am not ready to DA or be DF, I have family members still in, so I would like to avoid those as options at this time if at all possible.

Whats the dumbest thing you were counselled for?

i was once counselled by the elders for watching 'knots landing'....it became widely known in the congregation that me and a few other sisters would rush home from field service to watch our favourite soapie.

if we missed it, we would ring each other up for an update...or...if we weren't near a tv we would ask someone to put the phone handset on the top of their tv so we could hear it...pathetic huh...but that was all the excitement we could scrounge up in our otherwise dull and uneventful lives.

one of the elder's wive's conscience got the better of her...and she confessed to her husband..lol.

Nice guys left in the cold

i started wondering about the "nice" guys (such as myself).... it's been my experience that women tend not to go for the "nice" guy who has a lot to offer - big heart, kind, good income, etc.

they seem far more likely to go for the aggressive "jerk" or "rebel" who treats them like dirt.. why is that?.

I would concider myself to be one of the nice guys that women get bored with after awhile. It has been stated that a bad boy is not the same as a Jerk.

Can any of the ladies here provide some specific examples of the anti jerk bad boy turn ons? Can the nice guys lean to think and do some of these things?

I will be going on my first date with a non JW in over 18 years in a couple of weeks so I need all the help I can get.

i just happened to glance a the date as i was posting 2-13-02. one day before valentines day.

i realized that i don't have a valentine.

i subscribe to the idea that it is better to be alone and wish you were with someone than be with someone and wish you were alone.

Getting past the anger

i am looking for some assistance or resources on anger mangement.. i have known the truth about the truth for about a year now.. due to reasons of family i don't beleive i can make a 100% break at this time.. i seem to have a major problem getting past the anger.

i am not an angry person by nature and in the past when i have gotten angry it never lasted very long.. at times i feel that the reason i can't get past the anger is because i have not made a complete break.

i don't know if this is true since i see many here who have made the break and the anger persists.. if there is anyone here who has experienced this and has found a way to move past the intense feelings of anger without completly breaking from the borg due to family reasons and can offer some advice i would welcome it.. is it possible to get past the anger with one foot still in?

i started reading the "finished mystery" volume 7 of the studies of the scriptues this morning.

(while not written by rutherford it was published by him after the death of paster russell).

On page 26 the following is quoted in reference to Rev 2:6

2:6. But this thou hast, that thou hatest the deeds of the Nicolaitanes.- "Conquerors of the people" - the clergy. - Rev. 2:15.
Which I also Hate. - When the Lord's people hate the idea of a class that seeks to be "lords over God's heritage"(1 pet. 5:2,3), they hate something that the Lord hates.

Any Jehovahs Witness that would make such a statement today would get thrown out and deemed fit for destruction, yet these words came from the very man that the GB of JWs today claim was hand picked by God to bring back the truth. What hypocrites!
