well, it's been about 6 months or so since i've turned in a time report and things are heating up a bit.
i still attend the meetings with my wife - i am still "visible" - but i have not gone out in service for a conspicuous amount of time.
just this afternoon the po called and wanted to meet with me.
I would tell them you are depressed and then grow a beard.
Once you have a beard, they really don't want you out in service. At least they won't want to work with you because the pubs may say, oh Edler X is working with Br. Beard so it must be okay to have facial hair.
So, once you grow the beard, only ask to go out with the PO and other elders, keep talking about your depression and soon they should leave you alone.
when i got off for lunch today i decided to go to the walmart deli and get something to eat.
it is a huge store, groceries, a bakery, mc donalds, a bank , eye center, beauty shop, a great deli, and a huge garden center.
i had taken back a 80 gig hard drive dvd recorder ( i couldn't figure out how to hook up <smile> and had received 238.00. i picked up a couple of things in the store then went to the deli.
Jehovah answered my prayers on two occasions.
Many years back, I got really drunk and hooked up with a whore. I prayed to Jehovah for weeks that I would not get AIDS or some other STD from my lapse of good judgement. Praise Jah, the test came back negative.
On another occasion, we were at a major leage baseball game, I prayed that my son would catch a fly ball while we were there. Not more than 5 minutes later, a foul ball came screeming over the fence straight at us. Guess who came up with the ball? Yep, Praise Jehovah once again!.
i recently bought a high powered rifle and am presently buying a pistol for back-up.
i have a cross bow, a compound bow, and several swords and knives, in fact i have been collecting knives for some time and have learned how to use them in defending myself and in taking the initiative in learning to defend myself.
i am quite versed in using both the croww bow and the compound bow, it seems the goverment doesn't want to defend us and just wants to unarm us.
I have been thinking of gettnig a gun for personal protection. There has been a rash of home invasions in my area over the past few months.
Questions for those who know something about the subject. What type of gun would you recommend for personal protection?

a casual look around reveals a box of "narnia" tissues on my desk, 12 or 14 non-witness translations of bibles on my shelves, many non approved novels [wifey's] on the reading table, plenty of 'apostate literature', a book or two on meditation, a hypnosis cd for weight loss, prob many toys that are not witness approved in the g-kids room, a half eaten birthday cake, a birthday balloon, xmas wrapping paper in the closet , a couple of r rated movies, music that is not acceptable.. that is just at first blush.
