We have a saying in project management. Better, Faster, Cheaper. Pick 2. If you want faster, then you must either pay more or cut corner on quality to get it done faster.
Could they be wanting to move up the completion date before their next annual meeting?

Long Story of my Life/Experience
by GrownMidget inalso, my wife has come to her limits of understanding me about the witnesses related grief i have been having.
she has told me many times to stop reading the ex-witness sites because i get depressed and become angry, which sadly is true.
it's not very productive to be sad throughout the entire day and then shout at your wife for the reason she has no first hand experience about, therefore how could she possibly know and help?

Welcome! I am so sorry that you had such a rough childhood. No child deserves what you had to go through. I am glad you were able to find the root cause of your feelings and come through it for the most part.

Having a SDA as leader of USA is no more appealing than having a Mormon as president.
I think he made up all of those lies about his violent childhood in order to make his personal story more interesting for a book. Now he can't back down from those lies. They can't find a single person that he went to school with the remembers him ever getting violent. Not even his best friends.

Dissenters in Watchtower History: Differing Departures
by slimboyfat ini'm reading an excellent book about defectors from the mormon church called differing visions: dissenters in mormon history.
through a collection of essays from many academic authors it looks at the life stories of dissenters and reasons for departure, as well as analysing the impact of their dissent on the church itself.
fascinating stuff and makes me wish there was a similar volume looking at the key dissenters from jws/watchtower and the impact they had.

I agree with the OP. There will always be some segment of the population who are attracted to the idea of living forever on earth & social aspects of witness lifestyle.
If they gave up the 'high control' BS and just let people come and go as they wish and exercise their own conscience, they might actually do better in the long run.

Special Pioneer Couple Living at a Kingdom Hall In Miami FL, get the dreaded Letter
by James Jack injust got a phone call from an older sister saying that a couple that got re-assigned from bethel 4 years ago to live at their kh apartment as special pioneers, just received a letter saying "as of january 2016, your special pioneer assignment will be discontinued".. they live in a south miami kh(snapper creek congregation).. this couple had only served in bethel for 15 years before they were sent out into the special pioneer work.
they are now in their mid 50's and the sister said that they have to find part time jobs to support themselves.. the older sister (does not have a pc or internet), says that the couple are just devastated!

The Watchtower is shitting on their most loyal followers. I bet they don't feel so 'special' anymore.
