Although the Australian Womens Weekly has become little more than a gossip column (but hardly deserving of being lumped together with The Weekly World News and the National Enquirer!), Ita herself is no lightweight, either intellectually or as a businesswoman. Apart from Kerry Packer himself, there's no other person in the magazine business I'd have less desire to cross! She's got more balls than most males in the profession over here (apart from Kerry - how can he help it, he even looks like a giant scrotum)!

God's Spirit isn't supposed to lead religion but people. You'll know the ones so led by their actions. The quiet, peaceful, loving, gentle, tolerant ones. They exist - just not on a huge scale. But it only takes one such person to make a huge difference.

Hee, hee!
What about a pre-nuptial agreement for Watchtower "studies" - the person conducting the study has to sign the agreement before the intending study even looks at the Watchtower's stuff:
1. I can choose who I associate with no matter what anyone else thinks
2. I can have whatever medical treatment I and my doctor deem appropriate, without being disfellowshipped or considered disassociated.
3. I can watch and read whatever I like without any interference from anyone.
4. I can study the Bible for myself withouts any help
5. I can fellowship with anyone I consider to be a brother or sister, regardless of their religion or denomination
6. I can decide my own hours when it comes to what meetings I attend and how I serve God
7. I can go to the correct authorities when a crime or wrong has been committed without going to the elders first.
8. I can marry whomever I choose (with their consent, of course!) regardless of what any third party may think.Would any study conductor be willing to sign such a document?
In 1996 I said to a JW that the blood doctrine would be gone within 10 years. He said it would never change because it is a biblical law. I asked him if he'd be willing to put that in writing and sign it? What do you think his answer was?

Yes, the chicken's are coming home to roost! What do the boys in writing do now? I imagine it's all done by a random regurgitation of previous articles AI software package now.
The boys in the art department still have a job, however:

ARE JWs Snoops?
by Zep inon the the back of awake june22 is a short little story!.
last year, in maryland, u.s.a, a man politely refused the wt and awake magazines.his younger, however asked if she could have them, and the father said that she could.the two cleaning their car and putting trash in a nearby trash container[in other words a dumpster].
concerned that the magazines might be discarded, the witness who offered them decided to return later[in other words late at night/early morning] and check the container[container is such a nice word...but in reality its called a dumpster...].

YMCA=apostasy?
by TweetieBird inreferences have been made recently about joining the ymca is considered apostasty by the wts.
what action could be taken against someone (inactive jw that occasionally goes to meetings, they still give me a km each month even tho i haven't been in service for a couple of years and i do not attend the thursday nite meeting) like me?
the reason i am asking is because we joined the ymca a few months ago and have a draft taken out of our bank account for the membership dues.

Accountants are usually accredited by their membership of a professional asscociation; here in OZ there are two such bodies, the ICA and another which I don't remember the name of. You can't (couldn't?) be a CPA unless you were a member of one of them. Your accountant is probably too professional or at least too wary of losing his CPA status to dob you in in what has now become pretty well a grey area by the looks of things. If he does, complain to the professional association to which he belongs that he has breached confidentiality of a client. It won't wash well at all! You could also sue him for being negligent in his duties.
