I've always wondered whether all that stuff in the 'Tower about what diligent taxpayers the Dubs are is just another instance of "True Christians should/shouldn't...". IOW, are Dubs the great taxpayers the Tower claims them to be. There was a very smug Dub who was coming to visit me for a few weeks. I found out from a friend who engaged him for some work that he offered a "less for cash" option - he was willing to not pay his taxes. That this rather eccentric case involving a Dub does not surprise me. However, lest anyone get the idea that he is a particularly creative Dub, that conspiracy theory that the US govt doesn't have the constitutional power to levy income taxes has been around for some time:
