being that we still have family in, i would like some assistance in starting out this task.

i have so much already in mind, but after being on these board and reading about so many of you, i can see the strenght coming from you the beautiful way some of guys can write.

CLEONA (AP) -- A Lebanon County woman who said she repeatedly told Jehovah's Witnesses to stay off her property won a $632 judgment against one of them who showed up at her door and woke her up anyway.

Jennie Basiago was awarded the money by a local district justice after filing a civil trespassing complaint in Cleona, a community near Lebanon, against Bernadine DiStefano -- a member of the Palmyra Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses.
Basiago said followers of the religion came to her home every few months for 12 years and she called two Kingdom Halls in October and threatened legal action if the visits continued.
But two Jehovah's Witnesses awakened the late-shift worker in February after driving down a 300-foot lane past eight no-trespassing signs and three dog-warning signs, Basiago said.
"I just reached my limit," Basiago said.
DiStefano said the visit was an accident. Basiago was on a list of homeowners who had requested no visits, but officials in East Hanover Township assigned new addresses in the area and the list was not updated.
The defendant told District Justice Michael Smith she was driving and did not see the no-trespassing signs until Basiago pointed them out. She said Basiago was "enraged" at her and a woman accompanying her, and cursed at them.
DiStefano said she and other Jehovah's Witnesses go door-to-door to discuss the Bible with people and "give them hope for the future."
Basiago had sought $8,000 in damages, but Smith awarded her $40 for each of the two days she spent researching DiStefano's identity and a day for lost sleep, then added that to the $395 penalty for trespass under criminal statutes, plus court costs. DiStefano said she had not decided if she would appeal.

after my seeing the elder...I get the idea..I will not be getting ANY written response.......

it seemed to work quite effectively... except they had no idea why I mentioned forming a comittee ........I spose depending on where you are and length of time associated your mileage may vary........

JW Boyfriend is being brainwashed !

my boyfriend and i live together and have been for about 3 years.. he wants me to convert, after research i will not.

(i was raised bapstist) he hasnt went to the hall in two weeks, last nite he went because a "elder" called him, why did they have him in a meeting till.

11 at nite, he came home and told me he confessed and he is in trouble.

sorry it has to be on such a tough subject..........
but then most who have association with the JWS....... if they are honest with themsleves...find SOMETHING that doesnt sit right.......

it sounds like your BF has been called on the carpet about your relationship. ITS REALLY HIS DECISION..to LISTEN to them or NOTt.......he can chose to HAND Over his energies...thinking ability and choices to them if he wishes......but it wont EVER end if he caves at this point......
not until he SEES for HIMSELF what the ORG is all about.....

I Imagine it may a bit tense right now..but if he could take some time to research the org on his own his OWN opinion may change about the JWS..

there are plenty of places to look...and if you need pointers just ask we will be happy to give up a list......

the elders...... are no more qualified to decide your life ...his life or anyone elses....... they just have ASSUMED the position...

we all know the assume story.......

so then does this mean ..you can CLOSE one EYE..and focus...so your mind doesnt drift.......

or does it mean its not EVEN really talking about the EYE at all that is visible........

WOuld you like me to tell you to NOT write any more posts.....?

the word DONT" has no place for YOU telling another person on the face of GODS green earth what to do.......

it is wonderful you have your beliefs..............trust that most here have theirs as well..........trust also that the org you support FIGHTS in court for Relgious freedom and then denies the theory in reality......

if you feel one should TRUST in Jehovah.......then what does not belonging to an ORGANIZATION have to do WITH THAT

perhaps you should look at your own advice........

LOOK AT THE BIG ...WHOLE PICTURE

It is no crime to be yourself ....express who you are what you believe and know you are still a son or daughter of GOD.

its a right we all have, and a right that you did not give to anyone..so please dont attempt to take it away.....

I cant say nojw86, if you should say D/A or not .... in my own letter sent last month... I told them ,I would not D/A since I did not write a letter to join, and felt a dedication to god had little to do with them. The Baptismal questions I answered were PRE 85 and had nothing about the JWS in them....

THey did read my letter which was 28 pages....... I know this because I ran into an elder the other day at the store......... he wondered why I wrote the letter at all.....as if I could have just evaporated........my motivation was my children..and NOT having them assocaited with their mind controlling group and I said as much to the elder.

I mentioned i I could not get past the UNITY thing over truth ...and the remarks of Covington regarding the truth not being as important as unity , and those that are D/A or D/F being worthy of death.

His response was just oh so wonderful

He said ..

".well I know Firemen that kill people...that doesnt make all firemen bad...." ... as if that has any relevance..(he is a fireman.......)

but enough said....nojw86,
I wish you peace and love........ and patience in writting and handing in the letter.....

I will say after I was done...... I felt such a burden lifted and gone.......
