  I never would've dated Charles my senior year in highschool. He was abusive and he totally destroyed my esteem. I got really depressed and gained a ton of weight because of my depression. Even now 5 years later I have a difficult time believing people when they say I'm beautiful or even when they say they love me.

  on the net you see many talk about 1975 and how it affected so many.

  obviously, some left the organization when nothing happened in 1975. were you personally affected by 1975?

  has the fixing of dates been a major reason for your disappointment with the witnesses?

  I was negative 3 at the time but my father once told me that he and my mother waited until after 1975 to have children so that we wouldn't have to live in this wicked system. . . well three children later (25, 23, 13) this "wicked system" is still here. . .

  And yet they remain hardcore Dubs. . .

  So...anyone play 'America's Army'?

  just wondering - new game out, developed by the us army.

  it's based on the unreal tournament 2003 engine, so it looks pretty good.

  decent gameplay, a lot of innovative features for shooters.. best of all, it's free.. wondering if anyone else has taken a shot at it yet?

  Need Damning Info. on Watchtower

  i am moving in a few months but before i go i want to sit down with my parents and present a tremendous amount of evidence against the watchtower.

  i realize that some of you will say to just let them be.

  well, knowing that they are in a cult-like religion is quite disheartening.

  Now, even though you may not see your parents again for a long time, you can still maintain dialogue via mail and e-mail, so this could give you a chance for extending the dialogue at a slow pace.

  Once again, I don't think so. They refuse to talk to me.

  you are making the classic mistake that former jw often make OVER KILL

  so here you have your folks who have been jw for 10-50yrs, meetings week in week out and all this constant indocritnation any you want to go over with a few pages of some funky Xeroxed copies of some stuff you got off THE INTERNET and snatched them out of the org YEA RIGHT

  In my thread I told you that I wanted addresses so that I could write to the organazitions involved so that I wouldn't have xeroxed copies but actual letters.

  Umm I thank everyone for their advice but really I just wanted email addies and other addresses, I've already made up my mind.

  i have been coming to this forum since around september 2001 and although i haven't had much to say i have gained a lot by just coming here and reading.

  i have laughed and cried and got really angry along with posters here and have enjoyed most of my time here.

  now i am moving to the country to be with my daughter and her kids and i won't have internet access there which is a good thing because it will get me out from behind this screen.
