  A roundtable discussion with who? As if the WTBTS would do this. Isn't Silentlambs a source of support for JW sexual abuse victims? It's not an anti blood reform group, etc, so why would you expect anything else?

  For those of you that aren't going for this reason, organize another march that addresses all of the things that you think should be addressed. Bill's march is simply a first step, not the only step.

  by saying that I have read Psych. 101 and much more and I could argue against your point. Also, I said you spoke for your family. Can I not speak for myself as an abuse victim?

  Mike-

  If you have so many problems with Bill's march why don't you have one of your own with no rules? Geez! The guy is trying his hardest when no one else would. He cannot make everyone happy. Even if people went according to your wishes, it would make some people unhappy. It's so easy to knock someone else's efforts.. . .

  Bill refuses to state that people can put whatever they want on their signs. He holds to the illusion that he can control this, and I think that trying to control this is harmful to the victims.

  What do you think would happen if people put whatever they want? Ex: "F*** the Watchtower"? Well it would alienate any JW's watching and I'm sure the public wouldn't take you very seriously either. Also, you cannot stand for every abuse victim. I was abused as a child and Bill's efforts do not seem as if they'd be harmful to me, so have you considered that maybe you're wrong? He has spoken to 1000's of people and has given very little criteria, you can only speak for yourself and your family.

  BTW, I am a psychology major so if you want to argue Psy. 101(and beyond) and how it proves that you are wrong, let's do it.

  i had a conversation with an active witness from the usa lately.

  and when talking about child upbringing he stated that some children need a spank sometimes.

  of course i was upset because of that, and i didn't thought witnesses was that stupid.

  I don't know if you can't but most of us see a difference between spanking a child a beating a child. I personally was spanked as a child and now as an adult I feel as if I benefitted from it. My parents never, ever left marks or bruises so in my eyes I was not beaten. Can you see the difference between them? Someone embedded a page that was anti spanking. . well plenty of people think a little spank from time to time is beneficial; with scientific studies to back them:

  Of course this is one of those arguments where research will be 50% for spanking and 50% against. This is a personal choice and probably always will be

  Are some kids born bad? And you have to beat it out of them?

  Once again the words beat and spank are different:

  So NO it is not okay to beat a child, but spanking one is okay.
