  i am going to engage on a trip to the past and share with you some of the matters that marked the beginning of the jws persecution in cuba.

  you will be surprised that the pattern that was followed is very similar to what happened in other dictatorial countries.. in the cuban case, i am going to surprise you and tell you that like what happened with hitler; the wt was partially responsible for their clash and confrontation with the cuban government.

  during the early 60s the revolution was fighting for survival and they were willing and ready to demolish any perceived enemy to their cause.. a prime example was their war against the catholic church that was the most influential religious entity in the country; it took the supreme leader only a few public discourses to send the vast majority of clergy packing and back to their country, in this case spain.. the jehovah’s witnesses were an insignificant minority but they over estimated their importance and displayed a belligerent attitude, it was known that this was a us based religion and an easy target to connect them with the cia.

  In the Cuban case, I am going to surprise you and tell you that like what happened with Hitler; the WT was partially responsible for their clash and confrontation with the Cuban Government. During the early 60s the Revolution was fighting for survival and they were willing and ready to demolish any perceived enemy to their cause.

  A prime example was their war against the Catholic Church that was the most influential religious entity in the country; it took the Supreme Leader only a few public discourses to send the vast majority of clergy packing and back to their country, in this case Spain.

  The Jehovah’s Witnesses were an insignificant minority but they over estimated their importance and displayed a belligerent attitude, it was known that this was a US based religion and an easy target to connect them with the CIA. The WT acted like it was business as usual, during the early times of the revolution an Awake magazine came out with the title “Soviet world master plan for world conquer” and it was pure anti communist propaganda.

  I am going to skip a whole bunch of steps and get to the point when the WT challenged the Government in Court, fighting for their right to keep preaching, meeting and exercising their religious freedom. The case went badly for the WT due to the fact the Government was able to show that the WT was just a publishing house and that they were never registered as anything else, certainly not a religion.

  The history is extensive and I am going to stop here, if there is interest in this issues I will adding more details otherwise will be “hasta la vista”.

  Volunteer workers pushed to renounce to their social rights

  surprisingly in spain, a large quantity of bethel volunteers (nice to words to say workers) have received their letter telling they are not anymore required.

  in this country, government obliged bethel to give social rights such as basic social security (doctors, etc..) to the volunteers as they understand that it is a business relationship.. all of them have been pushed to sign a letter stating they renounce to their work and then go outside bethel with not a single right (unemployment, etc...).

  it is really unfortunately but silly from bethel office to arrange it this way.

  An EX JWs attorney have offered in public their free help and not a single one of the Bethel workers have come forward.

  it seems that some co need much more $$ and in some countries they started to promote multilevel sales among their contact network.

  sp74bb is l legend in the Spanish Forum, his information is well documented and corroborated. As far as USA I have seen COs making good money out of referrals for mostly Caribbean Cruises, this is controlled by the Miami JW Maffia controlled by the descendants of some Cubans JWS historical families, always on the lookout for making an easy buck.

  My Bthel Experince Part 19 The Last Chapter..(really) Bethel Overseers

  there were other people who either killed themselves or tried to kill themselves while they were at "the house of god.

  one person who did kill himself was richard wheelock, press room overseer ......he jumped out of a window at the watchtower farm one day.

  it seemed, he was never quite the same after his wife "willy" died.

  i am going way, way back.

  history reveals that in the beginning the wt was just a publishing house, selling books and magazines; over the years it evolved into what it is today..

  the placement of the original publications was mostly done thru sales people masquerading as preachers.

  there is a footnote on page 138 of this book; it has to do with the number 2,520 being a perfect number and the result of multiplying the four perfect numbers in sequence.

  i have done the math and it works.

  with the book crisis of conscience detailing the turbulence at bethel during the early to mid 70's, the transformation from autocratic rule to governance by committee or a body of men, many of us can speak to how that felt among the rank and file of the local congregations during those years.

  we learned new concepts based in large part to research done for the aid to bible understanding volume, then we were asked or coerced into unlearning those principles, going back to the old ways.

  some of us never readjusted, finding ourselves very different from our more hardline compadres.. the inertia for the changes that eventually were initiated in the congregations came from the discovery that the greek words episkopos and presbyteros were used biblically to refer to all qualified men in a congregation, not just one.

  Impressive reading TMS.

  One observation, after all the twists and turns, the basic command structure of the congregations is the same than before the 70s. One strong man, the coordinator with two henchmen and a group of lackeys. That is basically a body of elders, the difference is under the congregation servant the group was a lot more considerate and caring.
