Your wish came true during the Annual Meeting of the Watchtower 2012, should the Watchtower come to JWN for "new-lite"? It seems the friends here are one step ahead of the Org, possibly two steps?

On page 382 regarding "The Anointed Class":
"Outside of the [Governing] Body, being of the "anointed" counts for nothing as to becoming an elder, a traveling overseer, member of a Branch Committee, or holding any other organizational position."
I have always recognized this to be the case. It's funny that The Watchtower officially teaches that it is the "Faithful and Discreet Slave" that is appointed over the "domestics," and that this title represents all within the annointed class. Unless I am in error. Yet, indiviual "annointed" brother have no more authority or "say" than the average Joe. That makes the whole doctrine of "Faithful and Discreet Slave = Annointed" kind of pointless. They should just change the teaching to "The Faithful and Discreet Slave = The Governing Body."

23:9, 10.. christendoms churches have human leaders, such as the pope of rome, the patriarchs and metropolitans of the eastern orthodox churches, and the heads of other religions.

JWN Forum Members are like the crazy artist chefs at "Benihana Teppanyaki bars", taking the strange meat and wild veggies the FDS provides and turning it into real entertainment on JWN. Poor dubs are more like Subway or Mac Donalds employees, trying to slop things together, hoping their spiritual food taste a little less bland with their "new-lite dressing"

Whoa Flipper, after everything you did for your daughters and to have them treat you like this, it's pure evil (Corban). I read Barbara Andersen's blog site, she had a article on the lack of "charity" Jehovah's Witnesses are known for, I had to agree with her post 100%. It's true that not all JWs are selfish suckers, but there are more selfish dubs than generous ones. I prayed to Jehovah for a sign two years ago (humor me if your an atheist, allow me my fantasy if you think it's that :0 ) and he provided me with plenty! I can see clearly how this religion changes people for the worse by making them think they are superior than others. I am deeply sorry your daughters are not remembering their father of their youth, I know what you are going through and I know this ponzi scheme has ten years left before the next big fall out!

if this topic has appeared in the forum before, please accept my apologies.. just wanted to share what i wrote about jason beduhn's handling of phillip harner's article in the journal of biblical literature (1973) in the book, "truth in translation" for those who may have their own copy of it.. it's a bit lenghthy, but i wanted to record as much of harner's thoughts as possible to understand his position.

i hope it is helpful to someone.. .
