  how important is evidence to your world view?.

  if you had to make a decision on a fact being true, what would be the deciding factor for you... your feelings and faith, scriptural statement or evidence presented by modern science?.

  would scripture trump evidence, or would faith trump scripture etc .

  i dont think anyone really knows the answer to this one... but im thinking theyre probably driven around by cos in their buick lacrosses and don't actually have cars of their own... but i could be wrong..... by the way, the cos in my area drive used toyota corollas... so it would appear that the american cos get the plush cars while non-american cos get second-rate vehicles.. .

  I like how this thread is going, no outrageous lies, just facts from personal experiences. When compared to Jame's "Spider", the GB cars pale in comparison.

  Benny Hinn is reported to have spent $78k for the "Presidential Suite" each night in Vegas. He had access to a "Stretched Limo" with his Las Vegas revival! We all know very few Traveling Overseers live the push life some high profile preachers live On my wife's side we have a famous preacher out of Silicon Valley who makes almost $1,000,000 a year in various forms of "church compensation". His salary is well over $450,000, housing, food, vacation time, trips, retirement payments made into the "Trust Fund" for a future defined benefit.

  Jim Baker is said to have ripped off almost $1 Billion dollars. L. Ron Hubbord ran off with $300+ Million USD.

  Jehovah's Witness and Mormon Leadership are frugal with funds, nobody could get away with this rampant waste of funds or fraud. I may not like the way these men teach, yet they are relatively honest with money, unlike other religious frauds (Asa Alan I heard was evil with money).

  Good topic, thanks for your honesty, this paves in-roads into "lurkers" minds when we are honest and avoid sensationalism. God Bless you all!

  I agree with all three of you, do you think they will eventually drag the elders into the "annointed group", adding a little "shock and awe" to keep grumbling elders from thinking?

  I do agree they have lost their Biblical compass, and I don't know how to talk to active JWs about this serious topic. I was told yesterday, "Are you not happy we are receiving such good light from Jehovah?". This made me scratch my head and ask, what is wrong with you people? If the GB started to piss from the platform onto the audience, would they believe "it's raining yellow gold!".?

  The "Generation" has been a disaster, the "Blood Issue" is slowly being watered down to nothing Preaching "Field Service" and the amount of hours being preached are one-fourth or less, as dubs lie about their field service time.

  Meetings are started to fall off a cliff, our Kingdom Hall's attendance is down twenty percent and nobody is heading out the door looking for the missing sheep, because many of our brothers are elderly, sick or working lots of hours to pay the bills. The grief they are getting from a CO who has his life planned out, nothing to worry about financially while he complains at our brother's failures "to put the Kingom First' is bad!

  It's easy for a CO who has each bill pre-arranged and paid for, health insurance our brothers don't have (they have), a pension and a home to look forward to once their "time is done", all taken care of by the frugal sheep and elders working full-time. The TOs don't mind biting the hands that feed them, they best watch out, as more rich JWs stop attending, who is going to pay for their health care, food, rent, car, insurance, free trips to "time shares or vacation rentals"

  People are sick of feeling guilty for listening to bad advice, what has the GB done for us lately? The don't study lke scholars, what is their job? To decide how much of the "cumin, mint and dill" to give? How about all the sheep and elders quit their jobs and stop giving money to the Organization so everyone can pioneer? How quick the GB would write magazines stating "Should you go back to school to get a better job" "The benefits of higher education and how it can further the Kingdom efforts by giving more money!"

  New Light "Jehovah's Witnesses should tithe like Christendom, we need help paying off lawsuits!"

  Ray Franz brings out the GB turned down so many paid traveling invitations to speak to congregations worldwide, they had not time to study the bible or go out in field service. What value does the Governing Body add to the World Wide Congregation, the members appear as useful as a paper weight in the digital age! "Smile and Wave Boy's, Smile and Wave" Penguins of New York zoo.

  Can a JWs Elder be "removed" if his wife is known as the congregation "gossip"?

  i remember in my kingdom hall one of our 5 elders bro.

  "smith" had a gossipy wife sis "smith" who would be known to gossip from the time she enter the hall until she left.

  i don't know how she never was reproved or counseled for her gossiping.

  Hi Chariklo,

  These frauds claim to be Jehovah's modern day people and all they wish to do is attack their brothers and sisters with hateful gossip. I am guilty of sitting back with elders discussing the merits of a brother's credentials, his ability to control or keep his house in order, "how come he is not hospitable (meaning, how come he is not inviting the elders who can make or break him, out to dinner?" "Did you make sure you checked to see if his son's video games were not "Halo, Call of Duty", Assainsins Creed" or Zombies?

  I know elders who stab their own family in the back, and plenty of sisters who attack each other (out of concern, right-e-ooo Felix) in their fierce pious-sneer competition!

  Chariklo, how does this make you feel toward a Organization that tells the world they have discovered the secret of Love? Do you feel the love and joy your Kingdom Hall tells everyone they should be feeling?

  I Used To Hate Gays!

  i remember i use to have a lot of hate in my heart when i was a jw.

  i remember i used to hate gay people a lot!

  when news reports came in about gays getting jumped in parks at night or killed.i would always smile inside.

  I was hit on by so many gays as a JW, I thought it was cute! I treated homosexuals with great respect and felt I had no right to judge them. The Organization was never as rabid as the Fundamental Christians or Proposition 8 proponents (Mormon backing legislation) were, I know of two non practicing Gays who were traveling overseers.

  I can say with great honesty, most JWs treated Gays out in field service very good, JWs would complement their Homosexual employers (Janitors) as being very generous and kind, maybe were strange in California with homosexual tolerance. I think by now if I had a chance to bash the Org, I would tell you if I saw a concerted effort to be evil to homosexuals.

  St, you are correct with your assessment with India. The West needs to invest in their economy to keep China at bay. The Indian people are not especially big on China, their values differ so greatly from the Chinese methods of doing business at all cost.

  One JW poster mentioned "the elephant and the dragon" in a private mesage and it was worth the read. The Indians could have used a "Deng Xiaoping" on their side, instead the endless beurcratic nightmares which keep India stalled, are compared with China's ability to steal what they need and move forward at the cost of their population.

  Satanus, Mao had this weird idea of collecting anything made of steel (bikes, cars, fences, tractors, trucks, ect...) and smelting them down to sell onto the "open market" at a loss, to demonstrate how powerful China was! Deng Xiao Ping is respected for his efforts of paying Western Companies to build in China, use anything they need at the cost of others, to bring China into the 21st Century. Do read the book if you get a chance, it's better than some three month class at University.

  seven million Jehovah's Witnesses, "Jesus is not your man dude!" "He only is our mediator, not yours!"

  What is their grand purpose to deny the easy Biblical teaching Jesus died for all mankind? To tell others, "you are not part of the New Covenant!" We are not Jews, Jesus said we are to follow the "new commandments", Christians would inherit freedom by recoginizing nobody could obey all the Law Commandments but Jesus Christ, therefore as humans we failed miserably by trying to declare ourselves rigtheous under the Law.

  How does keeping Jesus away from the "other sheep", enhance the status of the annointed (now it's just the annoited recogizined by the Watchtower Business Corperation and their non-annointed writing staff), is this Satan's doing by telling us we don't need Jesus Christ to be our mediator but we must rely on the Watchtower's ability to be our mediator between us-annointed-Jesus Christ-Jehovah God.

  Is the Copy Of Ray Franz's Trial By The Governing Body Online?

  i think it's pages 320 through 330 where ray franz mentions, when the governing body prosecution asked the trial to be recorded, ray said, he had no problem as long as he got a copy of the trial his accusers would use against him.

  i did a search on jwn and found no trace of this old audio recording, any old-timers here, know if ray franz released the audio cassette to the public?

  it would demonstrate how irrational and unbiblical the gb movement is!.

  I want to share a story I know took place, I am aware of elders who illegally recorded confessions from wrong-doers with telling them they were on on Candid Camera.

  The reasoning of the superfine elders goes like this, "we might be able to gauge the situation better by listening to the recording a couple of times." "Some times you can hear by a persons voice if he lacks affect" They are the real apostates of Jesus Christ, who is going to punish them for being modern day pharisees!

  I wish someone would break into Bethel and steal those tapes, maybe one day someone will offer a large sum of money to clean out the GB minutes to bring forth truth against bad men! Larry Flint of "Hustler" offered a reward to catch corrupt men after Bill Clinton was accused of being the only one having extra-maritial sex, someone exposed (I think it was Newt" and got the $2 million dollar reward from Mr. Flint).
