Yeah! They are also self centered and selfish people. They only time they are taught that giving is better then recieving is when they are encouraged to give to the society. How do they expect people to devolop social skills when they are ALWAYS told that if are friends with a non member you are not going to live forever with your family. Its seriously messed up. I blame ALL of my mental issues on them.

It is OFFICIAL they want MORE MONEY : NEW ANNOUNCEMENT!!!
by raymond frantz ini just came back from the meeting .although the local announcements have been abolished recently as an item for the second part , an elder came on the platform to announce that the society needs more money and there is a letter on the noticeboard for all the congragation to read to this effect.
although the announcement was read half heartedly (this elder's daughter is an apostate ,it looks like he knows what's going on) the implictions are dramatic .
the society in brief,requests any brother or sister with funds sitting on personal accounts to loan them to the society ,he didn't go into any specifics but i will take a picture of the letter next time and make it available here .. i'm not amazed that they're asking for money ,i thought it will happen sooner or later .what i'm amazed is that 99% of the congragation are oblivious to the financial crisis that the society finds itself these days and the reasons why .i can see the future now .the watchtower will be the fist part of the babylon the great to go down in a blaze of scandals and financial troubles !.

Im thinking its time to announce a new "end of days" year.
If the RF wont willingly give up the mullah, we will scare them into it! bwahaha
A generation is dying away and the WTBS wants to cash in when they kick the bucket.
They encourage them to change their wills, donating all forms of assets to their greedy hands.
I would be interested on how "poor" the society will be. 1 kingdom Hall per county, Holding 1 meeting per week.
There are soo many ways this can play out.

the society as from september 2012 is closing 20 branches worldwide .the best bit is the last paragraph :.

I envision a WT magazine, something along the lines of " We have preached to every nation, now prepare for GT" LOL, they should have reasoned that they are closing these bethels due to God telling them to cease spiritual temples in these lands, there is no help for these people. Who knows, they will probably in some years come up with some crap spinning all these estate sales into a act of pure worship.

I too have recently left the mind fog of WTBS and relate to your story. My husband is the same way as your wife. There was a time when I shoved new thinking down his throat, but now I try to get him to think. Today on a pure stroke of luck, I was looking for a certian article in the watchtower library and found two articles contradicting eachother right next to eachother. One saying the faithful dead will be resurrected to help teach and one says that they wont. I read them to my husband. He said things change, new understanding. I held up the bible and asked if that ever changes. He said "NO". I left it at that, hoping he would dwell upon his own answer. If he had to take the blue pill or the red pill, he admitedly would go for the blue pill for self preservation. As for me, give me a xanax with that red pill and down the rabbit hole we go. Matrix references, love em. One peice of advice for lurker now participant, is to keep posting, keep asking, and keep active on here. You need that normal release and you need us to tell your not crazy, yes they are oblivious and ignorant. You have broken that mold, keep shedding the "new personality" of submissive robot. When "The society is god" attitude around me gets to be too much, I get on here to do my ranting. I would rather devise and plot secretly on here since there is no one you can trust. Well, I hope we hear more from you P.A.

by troubled mind innext week i am having surgery at the local hospital .
one of my old jw 'friends ', that no longer considers me worthy of even a hello ,is a surgical tech there .. would you take steps to ask she not be on the operating team ?
it was brought to my attention today that i do have the right to ask for that person not to be present because of personal issues .. what would you do ?

You know, when you really "Make the Truth your own" it changes everything
by gubberningbody inyou own it.. that is to say, you are the one who decides what is right and what is wrong.. now it's odd to realize that the so-called father of faith, abraham "made the truth his own" in condemning what he thought this being was planning on doing to the residents of sodom (including his own self-absorbed whiney nephew lot) with the words "is the judge of all the earth not going to do what is right?
" are words which meditating on would eventually lead me to condemn all religion including any being which may or may not be behind it all.. .
because in "making the truth my own" i learned to reject power as the basis for moral authority, and this power necessarily included intelligence.

Epiphanys are fun! I went through this too. If the truth is not the truth then what is the truth? I wanted to prove the truth was correct, so I researched religion, the orgins of the bible, orgins of man, evolution of religion and man. After looking into religion and found most of it is crap and no one can agree on one thing, I decided to turn to science. I researched the big bang theory, evolution, aliens are god ect. We are individually accountable for ourselves, I needed to know the correct way to god. After looking and not finding any answers it led me to, Is there a god? Didnt really find any proof of that either. I realized to myself that we exist and thats that. so here is my version of life according to me. Big bang happened, through that organism grew, reproduced, mutated and regenerated and kept reproducing. Changing and adapting for survival. Then these many different organisms produced a species SIMULAR to primates. They had to change with the times, the sun getting closer and then further away, lack of food, cold regions. When man started to develop so did their minds. They had the ability to think and react and communicate. There were no consequences to bad actions, there was no one to enforce it. thats when god was invented, he gave man the moral and ethic code. Early humans started to question this. Who had the right to tell them what to do? Not other people, we are our own persons and we dont have to answer to anyone. Well, this made it a big problem, murder and lawlessness was rampant. Something had to be done, so then God was invented and to keep humans in line and without question. manuscipts and scrolls were created and put in safe and convienant places. Thats when the bible was born. Humans have a fear of death and the unknown. In order to keep chaos at bay, a hope had to be given. I was miserable after my epiphany. Saddened by the fact that there is no here after or paradise or reincarnation, I wanted to put my mind at ease. Thats when I decided that all religions are correct, it just depends on what our idea of god and life after death is. You choose your own path. I decided to work hard and become successful because deep down I know that Ill only live 80 years, but my family will continue for generations just as it has in the past. Its what I do now that will affect their future. I hope you find your own truth and find some peace of mind SOON. It will eat at you if you dont figure out your OWN beliefs. Research every religion and get to the core of it. Then meditate on whether this is plausible to you. If its not, move onto the next religion.

aparantly the un's motto this year is "peace and security" 1 thes 5:3 "whenever it is that they are saying peace and security then sudden destruction is to be instantly upon them just as the pangs of distress upon a pregnant woman aand they by no means will escape".. according to this scripture the "end" should already be here since peace and security has already been declared by the un; i do wonder if this was done on purpose as a slap in the face to wtbs, due to them gb declaring the un a wicked and destable thing.. i would love to hear your thoughts on this matter.. honeybucket.

It doesnt matter what other people think. You need preserve yourself. They will never change their thinking, its programmed; to be honest they probably enjoy the drama. What has helped me with my situation is finding joy in non-witness activities, relearning how to live without a stigma attached to everything. You might have to accept the fact that your going to be deemed an "evil" person, although you know this is not the case. When you hear of people that have left the "truth" You always hear about those that turned to drugs, alcohol, sex addictions. They want you to believe that these things WILL happen to you if you choose another path. What they dont mention in the magazines is how many ex witnesses do have happy and successful lives outside of the Borg.
Someone I know has faded, we are very close, and I refuse to give up my friendship. People ask me all the time "how is ___, she must be so depressed and have a horribly life since she left the organization" THEY WILL THINK THIS NO MATTER WHAT YOUR "CRIMES" ARE. Its up to you to not let their diseased ideas continue to control your life. I hope things get better

Our First Halloween

) very risky, considering we are still active in the cong..... so we started at the first house and methodically walked up and down each driveway as worked along the street.. we were quickly over-taken by kids who were zig-zagging across lawns and doing houses in random order.

This post makes me happy and sad at the same time. Sad that the organization has put those road blocks on people they cant even live normal lives without a twinge of guilt. But yay for the kiddies. Service sucks but getting candy is fun. I too was excited because my husband carved pumpkins with me. Im fading and I had told him I dont believe in its teachings and I am going to live a normal life, start visiting my family on the holidays, and give gifts. btw, why are witnesses so stingy? In all my years as a witness, the only gifts I ever got was for my wedding. Witnesses always reason that they dont need a holiday to show someone they love them with a gift. Giving spirit my rear end. holidays teach you how to give. Christmas- giving. Thanksgiving-thankful Halloween-fun. You get my drift.
