i am looking for the reinstatement guidelines for someone who has been actively trying to get reinstated for 2 years and have put in a reinstatement letter 3x in those two years but was denied everytime.
are the elders just making an example of them, have they permenately been kicked out, or maybe these people dont want to come back and this story is part of their fade.. .
has anyone ever heard of people not getting reinstated.
I totally wish they are on here. I hope they have realized TTATT and are taking this opportunity to make a exit, I would be thrilled..

Someone I know married someone that wasnt scriptually free. Although the elders had talked to her many times, she told them she didnt care and ran off and married him. So they both got disfellowshiped. That was about 2 years ago. She travels for her job all over the states. It was her mother that told me that they both had tried 3x for reinstatement but have been denied. I am just curious if anyone else has heard of someone being barred from being a dub. Are the elders making a example of them or perhaps they just decided to not be a dub and are making this story up to make thei parents feel better.

we got our list of hotels available for our convention in the greater seattle area and there are only 3 hotels willing to have a watchtower block.. my mil thinks its because "as the society warns us to not do, people book rooms and then end up being a no show or cancel on short notice".

I told my MIL that I am not planning on booking us a room since I am planning on taking summer classes. She told me it was disgraceful to put schooling before Jehover..twit. So I told her that I would rather go down 1 day 3 diff weekends and pay 20 bucks(20x3=60) for gas each time then spend 400.00+ for a room, food, shopping, ect. We probably spend about 700.00 for conventions each year. My REAL plan is to not go at all. If my fade is going to be successful I gotta lie my pants off.
WTWiz- You should be a doomsday prepper, you got some great ideas. And truly thats the plan in NOT going to the convention, save time, money, and to save my soul. Im going to take that 700.00 bucks and invest in me.. that money can pay for at least 6 credits at the college.

Last year I paid 89 a night at a 4 star hotel on the JW block. Normally The rooms run about 129.00 w/o a discount. But here's the thing, most hotels offer a discount in one form or another. You gotta ask; AAA, loyalty discount, veteran, ect. These hotels are very very willing to work with people.
I would like to know why these hotels arent doing WT blocks. Thousands of people come to these conventions, so..only 3 hotels are suppose to house a good chunk of them. Did the WT Society piss them off? We used to have a lengthy list of hotels available. Then one by one they started dropping, starting with the nicer ones. Embassy Suites and Hawthorne suites havent hosted for years, since I was a teenager. But why?
I think part of it is the management is noticing that JW's are booking rooms even though the block was full. Why give them a discount when they are willing to pay more for a good qaulity motel. All of the hotels on the list are low rating hotels. One of them was nasty according to JW's and Trip Advisor. Hookers, drugs, and shootings. No hot water, empty pool, bed bugs, ect. So these hotels have a problem getting good customers and they are willing to sell out to the WTBS. The nicer ones are saying nope, they dont need to sell out because their great services is what books rooms.
I personally feel that this religion is a poor mans religion anyhow, and with majority of them being elderly on Social Security and Medicare they cant afford anything fancy. They have to settle on low quality and then they cram as many of them into one room as possible. 6 people in a 2 queen room plus 2 cots or one sleeps on the sofa or floor. The wealtheir ones stay in the nice hotels, but since there arent that many anymore, they hotels will capitilze on that.
These are just my thoughts, Please give me anymore ideas as to WHY you think these lists are dwindling.

in hotels are there to do drugs and have sex with hookers. They are all loud, unruly and rude. Im just thinking its because these hotels are actually losing
money on hosting a WT block. The witnesses get a reasonably good discount. So does this rate actually cover their 3 day stay? pool time, full breakfasts,
tips tucked into tracts and mags. I do wonder how much the staff makes in tips vs. number of literature they recieve. I must say I am glad that this is
happening. The more people have to pay for conventions, the less likely they are to attend. Plus the snob in me is saying "sweet! now we dont have to stay
in these cheap ass hotels anymore"

a friend of mine i'm in lust with, has been trying to convert / recruit me.
she's been very pleasant with me and very patient with me.
she hasn't been very pushy which i appreciate.. she's even said that if at anytime i'm getting smothered or feel this religion isn't my thing, to say so and she will stop asking about it.
take notes on the movies, then research the real "truth". with russel being into pymidology and then present her with it. If she is anything like my hubby, she will have no idea about the real history of JW's
i wanted to share my plans for 2013 and also get some advice from others who have gone through this process.
i have read several threads dedicated to this topic and was hoping to get some personal experiences.. i have been an inactive jw for 4 years, but my social life and association still heavily revolved around friendships built through my lifetime in the organization.
i support my wife by associating with a small group of couples from her hall that i still like and don't irritate me.
Ive found that my local library has display cases and information on hobby clubs in the area. my hubby and I do "Rock Hound" club and he does the Wood Working Club. Your parks and rec department is alsos a good place to look into. They have cooking classes, sports, and karate.
good luck in meeting new friends, be careful though. Its hard to find good friends in the hall AND outside of the hall. I have not had the greatest success making friends, Its hard to do when your taught your whole life to not be friends.
