Is the WBTS a parasite on worldly society?

so i ran into a couple of elderly lady witnesses on the street and asked them the usual questions about how much they knew about the history of the organisation.

anyway after being dismissed with the usual contempt i asked them whether they were working and the answer was "no we are on the pension and live in council housing".

so it got me to thinking that across the developed world there must be very large numbers of witnesses or ex-witnesses in exactly the same situation - basically living off the evil worldly state or more precisely the taxes of evil worldly people.

They are, quite literally, blood sucking parasites.

Does Christianity Need The Bible

christianity began it's formation without the bible.

the bible, as we know it, is a collection of what were very old texts when they were assembled by christian leaders in the late second and third centuries because they were deemed to be inspired by god.. whether they really were inspired by god or not is now open to debate, but should they prove to not be, it should not undermine christianity as an establishment.. discuss......

i will never appologize for being a canadian.

my familly has lived here for about 300 years.

we have seen tribulation and tumult ,good times and bad.

I love Canada and Canadians.

I also love maple syrup.

Every Canadian I have ever met has been tremendous.

Although I have noticed that if you drive slowly in a blizzard Canadians do tend to get a little bit impatient.

if god [whatever name you would call him/her/it- but - for this post we will simply say the creator] rated you on a scale of 1 - 10 depending on your degree of righteousness,.

and for righteousness we will go with the following definition:.

"arising from a sense of righteous indignation of injustice".

Mind numbing meeting

ah... sitting here again.... hearing mind numbing parts about "the ministry" and how to do more etc.... hearing supposed "real life experiences" about stuff that supposedly happened out " in service" .....all exaggerated, cos i was with this person and i can tell you that what they are relating never happened like this at all!.

Have the bible highlights talk... All suggestions accepted!

ok, so i have the bible highlights talk this week.. exodus 1-4 i think?.

i would love to drop a thought provoking comment into my talk... any suggestions?.

so far i have been thinking of showing how violent god was to the egyptians.

You ask what's wrong with doing this?

Well, apart from the hypocrisy, and that's a pretty big matter to start with, it's a total waste of time.

Do you think that with your cleverly planted and thoroughly disguised apostate ideas you will wake a few of the congregation up? You won't.

You are preaching to this forum, not to those in your congregation.

If you really wanted to have the chance of waking a few up you would step down from your positions at the hall and withdraw from doing any talks. It's called fading.

Its a tough thing to fade while you're standing on the platform in front of the whole congregation, showing off.

Who do you think you are? Some sort of super-clever jw? You're not.

You are a hypocrite.

Step down and stop thinking you are somehow clever and special.

How about standing up for something you believe in? Or do you want to be seen as a good brother at the hall, while at the same time being an cool insider on this forum?
