50 out of about 400 to 450 at Georgetown (Canada) are being let go, and it sounds like all special pioneers are being reassigned as regular pioneers. Laundry services are to be shut down and catering reduced or ended, which we already knew about. -

The updated Organized book
by Richard_I inthe updated organized to do our will book is now up.
i just skimmed through it very quickly and i think they are more lenient on reporting time now (p. 76):.
there are essential activities for which time is not counted, such as getting ready for field service, attending themeeting for field service, running errands, and so forth.

The updated Organized to Do Our Will book is now up. I just skimmed through it very quickly and I think they are more lenient on reporting time now (p. 76):
There are essential activities for which time is not counted, such as getting ready for field service, attending the
meeting for field service, running errands, and so forth. Each publisher must follow his Bible-trained conscience
when prayerfully determining what constitutes a witnessing period. Some publishers preach in densely populated areas, whereas others work territories where there are few inhabitants and considerable travel is required. Territories differ; publishers differ in the way they view their ministry. The Governing Body does not impose its conscience on the worldwide congregation as to how time spent in field service is to be counted, nor has anyone else been appointed to make a judgment in this matter.—Matt. 6:1; 7:1; 1 Tim. 1:5. -

Our CLAM meeting (vid): SELF-NEGATION is the first "treasure" from first meeting segment
by Gilgamesh inin the first sample video of the clam meeting (christian life and ministry) at about 5 minutes, 50 seconds in, a brother (steven phillips) is assigned the first segment of the new meeting, "treasures from god's word.
" ( http://tv.jw.org/#video/vodstudio/pub-jwbrd_201510_5_video ).
he shows just how sloppy the wts still is at trying to explain the deeper meanings of scriptures.

I'm pretty sure the black guy who conducts the last part was something like the assistant shipping overseer in 2010 at Wallkill, it certainly looks like the same guy. -

All these changes in the last five years are mindblowing
by truthseeker ini can't begin to count all the changes that have happened in the last five years.. i just read they're getting rid of the theocratic ministry school from cedar's blog.. i remember when they released the new theo school book back in 2001. how times have changed.. it's almost scary in a way what's happening.
there's barely any time to adapt to one change before another change comes along.. there's been more changes in the last five years than the previous 100 years.. i feel like there's some grand puppet master pulling his string.. what if the governing body are not really in charge but just give the impression they're in charge.
could there be someone else behind the scenes?.

I've said this before but I'll say it again - once our buddy Theodore Jaracz died in 2010 (and Barr to a lesser extent), the org did a full 180 degree turn in how it was heading. Jaracz must have ruled with an iron fist until his death, he must be turning in his grave with all the changes after his death. -

E-Mail, Just recived. About Bethell adjustments.
by DwainBowman ini just read an email from a friend, and she shared some very interesting emails from her friends about information on changes now happening at the bethels around the world.
here is the email: .
---------------------------------thanks sally, jesus is directing the org and all decisions and instructions to us may not seem practical from now on, neither will we understand the reasonings behind many of the changes that the organization makes.

the argentina guy's comments make no sense. closing the dining room makes no sense, unless they mean no more invites to lunch or whatever due to it just being a buffet style? I know at Canada bethel that's how supper always was, just a buffet, whereas breakfast and lunch had waiters and you were served. also watching the morning worship from your room makes no sense, what does it save if they don't meet in the dining room? -

The new RBC
by drawcad_1 inthe new rbc now called the ldc.

There was a new hall that was to be built in my city. The property was bought by the RBC (there was a bulding on the property that was going to be renovated), they were gutting the place, then a few months later the LDC is introduced. Everybody who was working on that property was subsequently taken off it. Nobody I talked to that was involved with it has any idea what is going on with it anymore because of the LDC taking care of it, and as far as I know nothing has been done for like a year now. It's very strange. -

Canadian branch getting rid of their trucks and drivers
by wannaexit ina recent letter to the elders outlined the new arrangement for delivering literature to the congregations.
the canadian branch will be downsizing by eliminating drivers and trucks and utilizing commercial carriers to bring the boxes of monthly literature .
more outsourcing and more lay offs.. the funny thing about it is that they want to have the literature delivered to various private homes of the rank and file rather than have the literature delivered to the kingdom hall.
-

Seeing the truck was a highlight as a kid, to be honest. They always had to make sure the truck was shiny after every delivery. I knew one of the drivers. I think they had two trucks and I was told the route they follow but it's been so long I've forgotten it. They go all across Canada so the driver is gone for like 2 weeks I think, but they simplified this in the last three or four years to just "distribution points" rather than multiple Kindgom Halls as it was before. Anyway that eliminates at least four people from the Bethel.
I can't think of anything else they'll cutback on at Canada Bethel.
EDIT
I just remembered, Canada used their own trucks while the USA has been using delivery services for quite awhile now because the Canada branch found it was cheaper for us to deliver the literature ourselves using our own trucks than outsourcing to Canada Post/UPS. So this really doesn't add up anymore because as Beth Sarim posted above they'll be spending more now to have a private firm do it. It's strange.

p. 54 was when Angus began his awesome all-out assault on Jackson.
p. 54:
Q. Mr Jackson, you were baptised at age 13, am I right?
A. I certainly was, yes.
Q. And in fact many Jehovah's Witnesses are baptised at an age even younger than that?A. There have been some I have met that have been baptised younger.
Q. Do you consider that at that age someone is old enough and mature enough to make a decision affecting the rest of their lives?
A. Yes, I do in some cases. Obviously there are some children that wouldn't be able to make that decision, and
perhaps some question whether I could make that decision at 13 years of age, but I work with people that have been baptised when they were 11 and they have stuck by that determination their whole life.
Q. That may be because they can't leave the organisation without leaving behind everyone whom they know.A. Anything is possible.
Q. You see, let's take someone who is baptised at a young age and then, as a young adult, decides that actually their beliefs lie elsewhere and they want to choose some other system of belief. They then are still going to be faced with the stark choice that we have identified, aren't they?
A. No, we don't see it that way, but you are entitled to your opinion.
Q. I suggest also that it is in conflict with the idea of a loving and a compassionate God.A. Certainly that wouldn't be in harmony with what the Bible says, because at times Jehovah disciplined his people by having them go into exile and come back. So Jehovah is someone who believes in the ultimate overall benefit of good for persons, and sometimes that includes some form of discipline.
Q. Do you accept that putting people to that choice makes your organisation in many respects a captive organisation?A. I do not accept that at all.
and p. 57:
Q: Would you disagree, then, with anyone who said that the efforts to highlight and deal with child sexual abuse in the Jehovah's Witness church are engaging in apostate lies?
A: I guess that's a broad question, because sometimes those who make these accusations make many other accusations as well. But let me assure you, the person making the accusation is not the main thing. The main thing is: is there some basis to the accusation. And if there is some way that we could improve, the Governing Body is always interested in seeing how we can refine our policies.

holy shit angus is amazing, he's asking about being baptized as a kid and then getting disfellowshipped, having to cut off all family and friends. intense questioning, this is awesome
stewart asked if this commission would be considered "apostate lies" and jackson rambled some dumb response. amazing because the wt just recently said most negative reports are "apostate lies", i think it was a study edition printed within the last few months
