Did You Ever Hear An Elder or Bethelite's Comments That Made You Question ??
by minimus inyears ago, the society's speakers used to give many off the cuff statements.
a lot of personal opinions and questionable remarks.. anything ever stand out for you in this area?.

We had some real IDIOTS on the platform and from there seat using a local needs part on commenting. Of all things! I called them out, each of them.
Where did you get that particular idea? He said: Off the top of my head, I said: You stupid idiot. The CO happened to be there that week and was
staring as I was blasting this cobe in the morning before F/S. CO didn't say nothing, this cobe teared up like he wanted to cry (sissy) I called the BOE
all kinds of names before we finally quit the whole shit. This CO got sent to my in/laws circuit and told my Bro. in/law that I was a nice guy..LOL.
He's another dumb f...k

The Truth Book! on the opening page, a guy with a bird on his finger, a little girl petting a lion. My initial reaction was fantasy land man! You can't even walk
the streets here unless you can run fast, that was reality! Stupid and delusional I was, easy to teach out of in F/S... "Mankind Search for God" though was
good!!seeds were planted in my head, comparing religions. I don't recall ever having a congo book study on it... Wonder why?

The Watchtower religion(JWS), that really couldn't fail, from beginning to ........
by Finkelstein inwhen one looks back retrospectively at the very beginning of this organization, you could see that the wts.. was on a structural platform of success, created by cunningly created doctrines, such as the invisible return of.
christ, the end times and the imminently soon to come armageddon, all bundled together.. .. this religious organization like so many others established in the united states was unregulated and had.
no upper governing control over its daily operations.. they proclaimed and taught what they wanted to or needed to sustain their operations as a publishing house.. .

Hello thedog1
You probably already know that WTS is just a money making scam that is just full LIES and false predictions and THE WTBS KNOWS IT. And yes people
have been hurt badly, after all who likes to be lied too and decieved? Once you realize you can't do this "theocractic" activity anymore, be prepared to be
ostrasized, even exiled. As you re-examine everything, know that you're not alone.
PS..I totally understand the turmoil felt after 30 plus something years..It gets to feel so much better after a while.

Were People Surprised When You Left The Witnesses?
by minimus inmine was a gradual going away.
but once it dawned on them, i think people were shocked that i left the religion i espoused from youth.. were people "in the truth" and "in the world" surprised by your departure?.
-
insearchoftruth4
"Worldly people" I think were more surprised I quit. They became friends and still are today. Some of them were "bible studies" who would visit the
hall occasionally. The JWs (especially the local elders) on the other hand here were relieved. Bible inconsistancies, stupid rules, made it were very difficult
to keep me from speaking out publicly at any meeting. But when my wife and kid finally quit the nonsense: SHOCK! boohoo, fart, boohoo. What other
'FRIENDS' in other congos think or spit gossip about. It don't matter and I don't want to hear it. Its nothing but pain my man. The future looms so damn the
past..

What if the GB hired you as the new CEO of Jehovah's Witnesses?
by kneehighmiah ini'm pretending the gb decided to hire a ceo to combat dwindling membership and overall apathy.
here is a list of the changes i would make to the organization if i were hired as ceo.
feel free to list your ideas (serious and humorous)!.

Shut down the whole thing except #12. Give back the money especially to poor and needy, look after the elderly and the victims of abuse.
Back to #12. Education and BASKETBALL. There's lots of talent among The Dubs (thats a cool name for a team) Let the CEO coach them!!!
Finally put the GB and their behind the scene chumps out to the Atlantic Ocean on a small row boat heading for N. Korea..NAKED.

Do you have something to prove?
by freeflyingfaerie insometimes i have to recheck my motives for doing things.. sometimes i do things for the pure joy of it...dance, yoga, nature walk, listen to music, read something interesting, etc.
but, sometimes when i am engaged in something, like college studies(which i do for the end result and also enrichment), i get flashes of my past that creep in that remind me of a negative message, and it makes me wonder if one of my motives is to also prove something about my self.
at times i recall my ex-husband calling me 'stupid' or 'dumb'.
-
insearchoftruth4
Hello Faerie.. "I long for kindness"......wow
Las Vegas used to be my home and probably knew hundreds of JWs there, but not even one anymore including relatives..
Can't say much here because of lurking a$$holes..Not that I hate them, I just don't have nothing to say to any of them..
Feel Free to pm..

Tom Brady should wear a blackhood, Executioner!! 'I'm stinkin' upset... Bet the moneyline..... Colts win in overtime!!
Now, SD and Denver...humm.. Yellow Rivers is good but not as good Mr. Payton (55000 TDs this season!) This is a pick'em and smell your fingers.
