What about the time when God allowed Satan to cause Job's house to fall in and kill all (10 ?) of his children but then made everything OK by giving him 10 more.
From Job’s story, I learned Jehovah values children the same as cattle and possessions.
now that we have stepped away from the jw faith, how do you feel about the bible itself?.
what about those awkward sections of scripture?
how did you rationalise or justify those sections?.

one of the things that really bothered me is how most of the book of revelation isn't understood by most jws.
most of the trumpets were already sounded many decades ago, is that still right?
it seems like most jws just look the other way.

The story of Lot banging his daughters only hours after Jehovah kills his wife.... the fact it’s not even on my list really highlights the depth of depravity in the book.
The thing that shocked me most was Jepthah’s story. Raised in the truth, I somehow missed that story entirely.
When I was 19, the age I got baptised, the section in Judges containing Jephtha’s daughter was the weeks bible reading. I was so disturbed I spoke to an elder, who subsequently he gave me the WT explanation..... but it just didn’t read like that.
It was straight forward the first time I read it, Jephtha’s no name daughter got killed, interpreting the story to mean otherwise is just defending the morally repugnant behaviour from Jehovah... yet again.
Imagine being born a girl to Israelite parents, under the mosaic law, just imagine!...... ok.. now go get therapy.
hey everyone.... i'm new to this but i would like to run my experience with medical marijuana past you.
i'm 48 years of age and have been in the truth for my whole life.. i suffer from ankylosing spondilitis and have for many many years.
it's a debilitating form of spinal arthritis and the symptoms of this auto-immune disorder affect more than my spine.
Also it's a myth that marijuana and hemp do not create more paper per acre per year than trees. But I think the logging and paper industry is behind making marijuana illegal
Yes, hemp is a better material for paper, it’s a vastly superior fibre.
William Randolph Hearst...he sold timber to paper mills... he and just a handful of others campaigned hard to have it scheduled as a narcotic... to pave the way for money making industry. The reefer madness propaganda started and hemp/cannabis became the maligned ‘marijuana’ and the subject of hysteria and outright lies...during the 1930s.
It was stolen from the population, legalisation is long overdue.
I rember fish oil advertisements on TV 10-20years ago. The health benefits of omega fat rich fish oil are so good for your brain! It’s amazing, they extract it, put it into pills, they are sold in many varieties.. the omega 3 -6 are essential fatty acids and the fish oil is so healthy.. everyone should buy it!!!
Hemp seed is a superior source of Omega fats, actually the best natural source known. Omega 3-6 and 9 are only absorbed if consumed with the right vitamins and minerals. Where fish oil fails, hemp seed does not... 1/3 protein by weight (kick ass edestin and albium) hemp seed also contains calcium, magnesium and zinc for optimum omega benefits.
Never heard a positive thing about cannabis until I educated myself, but I feel it’s criminalisation is one of the biggest injustices ever dealt out.
The earth itself would literally improve if we embraced cannabis. Moved to hemp fuel, food, materials and so forth. Hopefully everyone is soon educated, and kicks all opposed to cannabis out of government.

Easily their most batshit-crazy publication of modern times. It’s screams cult.
old people are allowed to be grumpy, eccentric and outspoken.
i think of the old-timer jws in my local congregation during my childhood and youth.
some of them were very critical of “the brothers” but the presiding overseers and later, the elders, tolerated their ravings, seeing them as still loyal but eccentric.. i even recall a watchtower article or two in the late 1960s that talked about the disappointment many older ones felt as this system of things wasn’t showing any signs of imminent collapse.
Millions once living have now died.

Keep in mind that an entire line of pharmacology for the conditions that you mention exists, and most-to all of their components can cause the same addiction than marijuana. From that perspective, there's no difference between medical marijuana and other pharmacology
The difference between a drug and poison is really only the dose. Many pharmaceuticals are not only physically addictive they will also kill you if overdosed.
Cannabis is not toxic, even in extreme doses, take care not to choke on your edibles and you’ll be fine.

Some people prefer not to use any opioids because they have what they call an "addictive personality", that is a propensity to develop an addiction to things. That can happen with any substance, not just medical marijuana.
Let’s clear this up, I hate seeing misinformation repeated.
Cannabis is not addictive. It’s just not, there’s no physical addiction.
Cannabis is addictive like playing video games, eating junk food, watching porn or even going to Gym and working out.
Opiates are addictive, nicotine and alcohol also. It’s physical addiction and it’s powerful.

Personally, edibles give me horrible anxiety. I prefer vaping THC concentrates because the effects are felt within a few minutes. There are also sublingual THC sprays that you can spray under your tongue which allow you to dose in exact amounts. Another option are the THC capsules. These will be dosed with the same milligrams as the edibles. The availability of any of these will depend on the state of course. I'm in California, so any of these are easy to get your hands on.
Another option that I have seen some still-in JWs use is CBD. CBD is completely legal because it is derived from Hemp plants. It has all of the natural healing properties as THC, but without the psychoactive effects. It also doesn't show up on drug tests.
If edibles cause you anxiety it’s very likely your dosing to much.
Properly done, edibles is the most efficient use of cannabis. Smoking/vaping helps getting the right dose much easier, and effects quicker.
I’m a massive advocate of cannabis, but not a fan of the current commercialisation of THC and other compounds found in cannabis.
There is something like 60 or more cannabinoids found in cannabis, THC is a major one but there is a host of benefits from others, and the individual terpene profiles in the plants also play a role in the medical value... example, both CBD and THC are converted on the plant from a precursor cannabinoid CBG, which is just one of literally hundreds of beneficial chemical compounds found in the whole plant.
I would suggest always getting the raw product from as a reputable a source you can.
Here in Australia it’s illegal. The general public is largely unaware the government has already signed contracts with pharmaceutical companies to buy their synthetic versions of cannabis compounds. Malcom Turnbull (Ozzie Prime Minister) and his wife are heavily invested in pharmaceutical companies. The government tells people they have legalised it, but it’s not available, not prescribed anywhere and if you do give your epileptic child cannabis medication, you are made to feel like a criminal..
I’ll stop now I’m going red in the face...

As I understand you should not be df’d for medically prescribed cannabis, especially as you consume edibles.
More importantly, why would you want to associate with people who judge and threaten emotional blackmail? It’s your choice, real friends would support what seems a sensible decision.
