  on 14 november 2018, australian-based barristers david bennett ac, qc and james gibson presented to watchtower australia and the jehovah’s witnesses organisation their commissioned review and opinion on the findings and recommendations of the royal commission into the institutional responses to child sexual abuse as it related to jehovah’s witnesses.. .

  the review entitled “review of the commission’s investigation into jehovah’s witnesses and its ensuing reports” was divided into four parts, as follows:.

  part one considered the history and powers of royal commissions in general.. .

  This is donated money being spent on the educated worldly, just because these lawyers are already extremely wealthy means nothing, their legal opinion comes at a cost which is usually eye watering. The WT by it’s own admission shouldn’t have this money to spare.

  There is no moral high ground and barely a legal foot to stand on but the sick and sad old WTS is digging its heels.

  I find it repugnant on many levels. The WT could join the redress scheme but would rather pay lawyers then compensate victims.

  but this is interesting in light of greta supposedly doing things on her own according to dear old dad.

  Meanwhile real environmental scientists, who may have worked decades prior to Greta even being born, get little recognition.

  Sailing the the worlds oceans, tweeting hate at airline passengers and mineworkers isn’t admirable, just really silly.

  recently, some activists decided to interrupt a train that was delivering coal.

  police were called and 10 hours later the activists were dispersed.

  it’s not unusual now to see picketers close down a bridge or a street for “climate change “.

  Make them actually live within the bounds of their beliefs. No plastics, no medicines except local herbs, keep the cow in the house for heat, no fresh food in wjnter, walk, outhouse
  

  I agree, they have no idea. Crazy vegan climate wackos screaming for an end to coal mining on our streets. We use coal to make steel among many things, it doesn’t get burned for fun.

  Try growing enough food for a small community and see how it goes without plastics. The amount of plastic needed in agricultural might surprise Greta, perhaps we should we ban agricultural products, the strawberries grown in my state require vast acres of plastic to cover the ground, they need large plastic tanks for herbicides and pesticides.

  This is why I’m no longer eating fruits, vegetables, grains, no meat, dairy or nuts, just insects from outside my carbon neutral mud igloo.

  They are the group of Christians that Jehovah is using to accomplish His will on earth in this time of the end.
  

  A cultish group, the most devout members display serious delusions of grandeur.

  So sick is the attitude that some JWs will associate with apostates, frequenting apostate platforms such as forums and seeking to engage with them, even though this is in direct contradiction to the teachings they claim to follow!

  The delusions of divine favour run so strong, this especially applies to the devout nutter types.

  sanderson may speak russian but he is so ill educated he appears to think that researching a subject and formulating a theory about it means that's the end of it - in other words he's saying it has no practical use.

  i’m no longer associated with the religion but i am not so pro university.

  it’s not because i think you are better off without a degree.

  Higher education is beyond some people for many reasons, working hard we can all do and only good comes from it.

  If a competition was run where thousands of preschool age children designed a car, and the winner of the competition was judged by a 3 year old boy, you’d probably have the Elon Musk truck.

  Ford versus Ferrari

  so after the unqualified success of my last review ( green book ) l thought that l would try again .

  l went to see ford versus ferrari / le mans 66 according to where you live .

  now l am no petrol head and talk of motor racing usually makes my eyes glaze over but this film is about much more than laps on a circuit .

  Spoiler alert.

  Ken Miles was a legend and the GT40 he helped build also. That circuit Le Mans in France is a ridiculously fast track, and even faster in the old days before they divided the long straight into three sections with two chicanes. Just white knuckle shit in those old cars.

  I don’t think they know for certain what went wrong in the accident that killed him, but those who new him say it wouldn’t been have been driver error. His shocking death got Ford into developing driver safety technology in race cars that made it vastly safer for those who followed.

  No Need To Preach In Every Country Anymore

  speaking to a pimo from my hometown yesterday.

  he told me that in the watchtower study (10 nov 2019) regarding “the great tribulation” the elder on the platform said that there’s no need for jws to preach in every country in order to fulfil the prophecy, and therefore the org has already fulfilled that prophecy.

  and that there’s nothing else left to wait for now but for “the great tribulation” to come.. gasps of delight came from the audience.. has anyone else heard this?

  Who remembers when the internet was evil
  

  Almost 20yrs ago, a young bloke from the job site I was working on, heaving with JWs, was wrangled into attending a JW convention. I asked him what he thought of it, I’ll never forget his response.

  “What was with all that, ‘the internet is the devil’ shit? And how come you’re not allowed to flog off?”

  Flogging off = masturbating. I’m not sure if that’s an Aussie thing but anyway, this bloke was having none of it, probably enjoyed a flog while viewing the internet, like many Jws would I’m guessing.

  Do You Think Veterans Are Treated Fairly?

  i don’t think many people truly appreciate what veterans have done for their country.

  i believe they should be given the best health care over any other group.

  members of congress have phenomenal health care.

  Not all serve in the same capacity and obviously some service comes at a great cost. It takes an army of people to keep only a few fighting, those who take the ultimate risk will virtually never be the same and should be looked after. Lots of service people in the military, probably the majority, will never have to face a man in anger or put themselves in the line of fire. For some it’s a job that offers security and opportunity where there exits little.

  I feel for those who have served and deserve much better, and generally speaking it seems Veterans form USA can get it pretty rough.
