You put it so well Finkelstein, what else can be said. I like the point that to JWs, God's will for mankind must be that we all distribute the WTS literature, the better we are at this, the more Jehovah can use us and bless us. Sounds reasonable.

9 Some desires, when satisfied in the manner decreed by the Creator, are not wrong in themselves. Indeed, they add pleasure to life. For example, there are the normal desires to enjoy good food and drink, to participate in refreshing activities, and to find delight in wholesome companionship. Even the desire for sexual pleasure with one’s marriage mate is fitting and has its place. (1 Cor. 7:3-5) Peter, though, correctly limited the “fleshly desires” of which he was speaking to those that “carry on a conflict against the soul.” Making it obvious just what is meant, some Bible translations speak of “fleshly lusts” ( King James Version ) or “sinful desires” ( New International Version ). Clearly, any human desire that conflicts with Jehovah’s expressed purpose and that could negatively affect one’s good relationship with God must be kept in check. Otherwise a Christian’s hope of keeping his soul alive could be seriously endangered.
As you can see, the quote is not really taken out of context. There is a subtle message that even sex with your marriage mate might end up getting you killed at Armageddon. Any human desire. Best to stick to studying the WT and praying to the GB, this will keep us safe when the Big A strikes. Which by the way is still SOON, here is another gem from the same article

Oh. . . . But remember, it has it's place. Be careful it does not become a distraction. Some faithfull servants have found themselves in the position of enjoying to much sexual pleasure, sometimes at the expense of theocratic activities, such as the Family Worship Evening. This is not fitting, and this type of marital bliss does not have it's place in Jehovah's arrangement. If the desire for sex with ones marriage mate becomes the focus of our lives, Jehovah could get jealous. But how can true Christians be sure their sexual relations with their marriage partner are fitting and kept in their right place?
We certainly would want to avoid any intimacy with our partners during Convention and assembly weekends. There is the temptation, especially for brothers, after a long day sitting next to your wife who is wearing her finest modest dress, to get home, have a few wines and just 'relax'. Would this really be the wisest option after a long day at Jehovahs spiritual table? Hardly! We would want to avoid any such situations that could lead to unfitting sexual pleasure with our marriage mate. The wisest option would be to get an early night, and awaken refreshed for another day of theocratic activity, thus keeping sexual pleasures in the right place.
Sorry I'm getting carried away, but 6 months ago I would not even have noticed this. But when I read this in today's WT I just found it really disturbing. It is like every little thing in your life has to be controlled and measured, being careful that we don't make god sad. Some wouldn't see that from this little WT snippet, but that is how it feels to me. They dont define what is out of place or unfitting, but the fact they even feel the need to mention that having sex with your marriage mate is ok (in its place), is crazy. I am going to have sex with my wife before breakfast and after lunch tomorrow, just out of spite. Who am I kidding that is never going to happen, but I am definently going to skip the family worship evening.

Not meaning to sound sexist : In general are women more emotional/feel good about religion,and men more proof/doctrinal in their acceptance ?
by smiddy ini`m just speaking from my own experience here ,and it has occured to me that over the 33 years i was a witness and in the six congrgations i was a part of , except for a few exceptions, the majority of sisters in the congregations did not have a grasp of the so called deeper things of god,according to wt theology, sure they could run off " bible topics for discussion" sermons but very few could take a discussion any further than that.whereas i was aware that males seemed more likely to delve deeper into, not only the scriptures,but also the wt interpretations as a whole.
don`t get me wrong a few women left me for dead in their comprehension of topics ,but i`m just saying overall i found this to be the case ... my experience... smiddy.
