Hell yes I can relate to that but you forgot Release. My father died when I was kid and Eddie lost his father when he was young, and when he sings that line, "oh dear Dad.... can you see me now?... I am myself.... like you somehow", it gives me chills and makes me reflect on things. It is such a powerful song, awesome live. I am massive PJ fan.

Depressing Census Statistics on Religion

this is taken every 5 years, and i have been doing a comparison over the last 15 year period.
for 2001 and 2006 the number of jw's fell in australia, but this time it has risen, which jws may find encouraging.

I read somewhere a while back that Islam growth is almost keeping up with world population with around 50 million Muslims every year. And I believe everything I read on the net.
JWs should follow the LDS example (like they seem to be anyway) and start using TV and billboards to preach, clearly Gods blessing is with these methods rather than the archaic door to door work.
Thanks for this info Paul, I will be sure to discourage and sow doubts with my active JW family with some more facts.

the book is written by ken ham, an australian born, young earth creationist.
briefly, two children go back in time using the bible as their "time machine" and discover that dinosaurs of the entire mesozoic era coexisted with adam and eve:.

Why did the organization stop providing food during conventions?
by redvip2000 ini'm sure many of us still remember these times when the organization used to sell food at conventions.. i also remember that when this was stopped, the official reason was that the "brothers" were missing some of the program because of all the preparations.
typical watchtower "pretend we care" excuse.. i've wondered if there is another reason behind it, tied to perhaps finances or logistics that was the real deciding factor.
history and typical "modus operandi" of the society tells me that if there was some money to be made that way, they would not have stopped.. wonder if anybody has more info on this..

I am not sure if it is more common but it is definently harder to listen to. Even when I believed it I hated those that anaylsed every word of the WT and then talked about the what 'society' is trying to tell us. The WT is so sacred to JWs, and when you know TTATT, all the WT analysis and praise just sounds so stupid that it is hard to know if it's becoming more common or just more noticeable. I have thought the same thing though.
The poor JWs are still thinking that any day now the UN will destroy false religion and then the fun can start, so they cling to every word that the GB says.

for me i am still "in" but working towards being out and leaving.

I now how you feel. The society paints all apostates as evil crazies who lie and try and destroy other people's faith.
In reality waking up to TTATT is one of the saddest and most difficult things I have ever done.
I don't claim to have the answers, and I am not crazy or a liar. That description better suits the WT Society.
