New Memorial Songs Were Very Good, IMO
by RubaDub ini guess we can agree to differ, but i personally found the new memorial songs (147, 149) to be very good, at least from a musical perspective.
.

The memorial songs sucked.
by DATA-DOG ini don't know who the idiots are that write, or approve these songs, ( the creative team of lett and tomo??
) but they suck!!
there is a line in the first song ( # 147 ) that blatantly contradicts the wtbts dogma of the heavenly calling being an invitation as opposed to a sure thing.

I heard that they rocked two new tunes for the special occasion.
I left not long after the new song book came out, what a train wreck that was, the congregation singing those songs together was a shock to the senses. I think it had something to do with the new songs all sucking balls.

Stupid memorial obsessions
by Simon inall the different congregations around the world hold it at similar local times but they all effectively are at different times relative to each other ... so why does the time matter?.
why the almost superstitious "oh, it must be after sundown".
cause it's not sundown everywhere that second.. god knew the earth was round ... right?.

They've touched the F@#$#$%$ plates and cups 40 or 50 times
I remember thinking this as 5 year old. It crept me out a bit as a child, the whole thing. And then again every year after for another 25 years.
The lords evening meal is hardly a meal. How about some fish and veges to go with the bread. Nope, just carbs and booze, not balanced nutrition in the slightest. One bite of a cracker and a sip of wine. Thanks Jesus, awesome meal, still a bit hungry though and the waiters are creeping out the kids and newbies.

Happy death day Jesus. I like it. Straight to the point, no confusion and very positve. What could anyone possibly have against happiness? Nothing. And the Jew died, that's the whole point of the entire Jesus thing. He was murdered for us, by our Heavenly Father.
That sounds weird I know, but he's alright, he promised eternal life for us. Unless you don't like Jesus, then you are pretty screwed. But what's not to like, right? His party tricks are undeniable, plus he said some great shit.
Happy Death Day Jesus! Happy Death Day everyone!

Just imagine going up to the hole of a cobra and patting it on the head like a pet
Mmmmm imagine..... Yep you're right. A few trillion years would fly by with excitement like that.
Or running like a deer through the woods
I do that now, no need to wait for the paradise. To be honest, it gets boring quick.
Who knows we might grows wings and be able to fly as well.Food for thought
Who knows? Perhaps we will grow gills on our necks above our wings so we could swim with sharks in the deep ocean! Thanks for the mental stimulation.

Any weapons enthusiasts here?
by Wonderment ini knew i had a couple of firearms around the house, and one in the car.
however, i didn't realize i had seven, yes, seven of them, when i proceeded to count them.
the reason for that is that i haven't gone to the shooting range in years.

I like to keep a couple of shotguns in the bedroom, one at the bedside table and another under the bed.
Ofcourse I always carry my 9mm handgun on me and keep a few in the car. I prefer larger caliber weapons in the work truck because those job sites get rough.
A small but well armed militia were hanging around the back of my house the other day, but my wife and I soon had them scurrying away with a few RPG's and .50cal rounds.
Stay safe out there everyone, arm yourselves.

You can't blame guns, they are not the problem. It's the crazy people that own the guns that are the problem.
Now we just need a way to control 50 million crazy people who have guns.
