  Why does WT rarely reference creationist scientist?

  in watching the latest video in the series "was it designed?

  " at tv-dot-jw-dot-org, i got to wondering why is it that watchtower hardly references scientist that are creationist.

  i know its only a minority from that group, but there are enough out there for them to reference from.

  Doesn’t the WT(creationists) deny that they are creationists? Because they accept the earth is very old and wasn’t created in literal days, they don’t accept the title.

  They pick from the bible what they’ll accept as literal and what should be taken as figurative.

  The Latest "Peoples Magazine" on Occults

  of course they talk about all the really wacky ones everyone knows about, jones town, charles mason, heaven's gate and branch dravidian.

  however if you add up all the unnecessary deaths these cults have contributed too (a thousand and fifty people) it pales in comparison to the number of people who have been directly or indirectly killed my the jehovah's witnesses.

  by the way all of the cults mention above are no more, except for the watchtower bible and truck society.. the little ones seem to get all the attention and the big ones just slide on by.. .

  I don’t think suicides would be higher among JWs. It’s taught that suicide is a major sin and risks no resurrection so this could be factored in.

  If suicide was an absolute ticket to the ‘New System’, I think we might see higher rates but the WT has never taught that. They actually suggest the opposite.

  in the uk the bbc has been celebrating the role of women who have made a difference to the world.

  they have focused on 100 women in particular who have taken a lead in various professional jobs.

  isn't it sad that we'll never see a jehovah’s witness woman appearing on such a list because of the misogynistic attitude within their organisation.

  Morph, the governments are supposed to persecute the JWs, in every part of the world. This wasn’t directed to Russian JWs specifically but to all the JWs, most of who live in America and the UK.

  Ofcourse, it applies directly to Georgia, but they blatantly using these incidents to bolster the idea for those living in the west, that the United Nations sanctioned ban on religion will be hitting them soon.

  The coming persecution is one of their major bullshit fear mongering prophecies, along side of Armageddon, both never going to happen.

  Don’t take anything on the JW website to serious, it’s loaded with cult doublespeak. We all know the weakest conscience rules inside the KH, if someone doesn’t like the piñata it will be stopped.

  When the WT says it’s a personal decision, they normally suggest a more ‘spiritual’ one, the other choices leave you open for judgement from the group. They love assimilation.

  The website suggests that’s it’s not only JWs who will be saved... yet I know an elder who refers to worldly people as “bird food”..

  Just some bird food for thought.

  our illustrious leader, justin trudeau, has just announced a half a $billion fund that will be given out to "trustworthy" news sources.. of course this will have nothing todo with the fact that there will be a federal election next year and there are plenty of bad things to highlight in the liberals record.

  they will obviously dole the money out in a totally impartial manner, even handing funding to reporters that are critical of them and trudeau.

  "trustworthy" news sources won't just be a euphemism for "writes positive stories about me, avoids negative ones".

  It's My Birthday Today

  today is my 34th birthday.

  or, my 3rd birthday that i've actually acknowledged seeing as i was raised in the cult.. i woke up this morning to my 4yo running into my room and wishing me a "happy birthday daddy!".

  i got a card from my ex-jw brother and i bought myself a birthday gift - a new 50mm lens for my nikon camera (photography is a hobby i took up since leaving the cult).. i dont know about you guys, but birthdays is still something i have to make a conscious effort to acknowledge and enjoy.
