  i am still so very grateful that sheez - 9 years ago i woke up.

  i woke up to ttatt.

  that i got free, that i am a normal, well adjusted human that has her ups and downs like everyone else.

  They continue to drop like flies

  yes, the jws continue to bleed their young ones, so far in my local kh 3 were dfd, one girl just turned 18 this month and packed her bags and said goodbye to the cult and her cultish parents, another young 18 year old man decided to have a non-jw girlfriend and decided to stop attending and is no longer a witness.

  they continue to leave and wt leaders dont give a damn.

  they dont do anything to help kids be successful and live a healthy life.. .

  Seriously considering stepping down as Elder

  i have been an elder for 6 years.

  it's been the last 2 years or so that i've really seen the hypocrisy, but the ability to know the shenanigans of the society through the body of elders letters has kind of kept me in there.

  i'm to the point now that i can't stand the hatred and bitterness that the body of elders has towards myself and my whole family.

  Hi fader77, I know the feeling. I was there once and it was doing my health no good. Devise a plan for fading, say it's depression or burn out if you like. I stepped down the elders asked if I just wanted to take time out instead of resigning so be prepared for that. Also the CO wanted to see me, I used to give talks at assemblies and schools and had been given some to do.

  All the best, be true to yourself. You ask if anyone has resigned from the platform? Yes a few have, there is even a recording of one if you search on here for Little Toe.

  It sounds to me like they were sent originally to sound you out, they have reported back to the other elders and they have asked them to come back and shepherd beat you some more. Refuse refuse refuse. Tell them it makes you ill and say you'll get back to them if you need any more help

  I read it a few years ago and recognised so much of what was written it startled me also, it's almost like having a blindfold removed when you see the WTBS for what it really is. Never stop asking questions. Enjoy your journey.

  why dont more elders leave?

  There could be a number of reasons, I was an elder for about 10 years. I felt I wasn't doing it right as I had doubts, thus the guilt trip. Then other times I was doing so much I had little time to think for myself. I would agree that for many its a power trip also, but there are some who genuinely believe they are there to serve and either are too busy or squash out the doubts until they can't do it anymore.

  It was a nice interview, he seems to be very busy helping lots escape different cults now, I think that is a great idea.
