What I'm going to say to JWs offering the JW.org tract
by baltar447 inlisten guys, one month i had some bible thumpers knocking at me door telling me about hell.
then i have some weird fundamental religious sponsored "education books for parents to help their children in school".
the next i have some south korean mother god cult come to my door with qr codes on their literature too.

thinking of leaving
by justme67 ini am 46 and have been a jw for only 6 years.
i was doing ok until about a month ago.
we were having an international convention and i heard the brother that had to pick up 2 of the members of the governing body had to get a background check done on him and his wife.

Welcome here, it's good you've woken up to the reality in such a short time. Put the last 6 years down as an experience and just walk away. If it makes you feel better write a resignation letter, it's your choice. I feel a little jealous as I was robbed of much much more by them.

What's Worse than a Pedophile? A Elder Who Tells Newspapers JWs Hide them?
by BucketShopBill inin jw "practices", is a active pedophile worse than a elder who called the police and exposed a watchtower cover-up?
i wrote how some pedophiles have bought lavish gifts, throw elder parties, and bring out their best worldy gifts to win the hearts of the congregations shepherds.
sadly to report, a large portion of the jw elders are not educated leaving them to rely on the watchtower's written materials to decide what is "right and wrong", instead of using the bible or mankind's laws.. .

Who is the biggest threat to the organisation? When you hear stories like Bill Bowen's it makes you realise that they prefer to keep the pedos in and the thinkers out

Bethel are not interested in cases like this, if they were the person that answered would have asked for specifics and given the caller some sort of comfort and reassurance, even if nothing was done after that. I knew of someone who wrote to bethel and was written back and told not to bother them and speak to the local elders, it was a complaint about the local elders so guess how that went!

"the Walking Dead" special tract campaign in August!
by stuckinarut2 ini obviously have an active imagination.... i can just see the parallels between "the walking dead" and the masses of witnesses hyped up during the august campaign!.
big crowds of slow walking witnesses with no logical brain function, moving en-mass towards non-witnesses....with only one combined thought "must leave tract".....as they mumble to each other......dragging feet......like zombies..... when one person in the community accepts a tract, they are then the target of every witness who smells their 'interest' and is swamped with more and more visits...big crowds pile on top of them, stripping away at their very individuality and being....until they become one of them!.

I thought Woodsbury was more like JWs, a false happiness and a Governer that'll kill you if you leave.

It is very funny. Karl started off as a radio producer and worked on the Ricky Gervais radio show, it was only when he was invited to give his opinion on issues they were talking about on air that his perspective on life became known. I am sure he plays on it now, but the radio shows were even more hilarious if you ever get to hear them. He is definitely a glass half empty person though.

Losing Faith in Faith..
by Dis-Member ini came across this lecture at 3am not being able to sleep by dan baker.
it details his transition from christian fundamentalist to atheist and the various shades in-between.
he realises that every denomination of christian can open the bible and prove to you that they have the right interpretation and everyone else is wrong.

This video goes quite well with this subject, hope it's not hijacking the thread:
