Victim tells of sexual abuse ordeal at hands of stepfather
by WildeLover ina disgusting case in the ukman who was sexually abused by his stepfather when he was a boy has told how the ordeal had long- lasting effects.. nick french, 42, was tormented by gary moscrop, inset below, as a boy growing up in brighton, including sexual abuse and psychological cruelty.
last wednesday, his abuser was finally convicted of the historical offences after mr french stood up in front of a jury to recount the abuse, which happened in brighton and sussex between 1979 and 1985. bravely waiving his anonymity to speak to the argus, mr french, who now lives in cumbernauld, glasgow, said: it me a long time to work out that i had not done anything wrong myself and nothing i had done warranted that behaviour towards me.. i have had great assistance from the doctors and, since going back to the police a couple of years ago, it has been a huge weight off my shoulders putting everything down and saying this happened.. moscrop, 76, of hendon street, brighton, was jailed last thursday for ten years after being convicted of ten offences against mr french, including indecent assault, gross indecency with a child, buggery and child cruelty.. mr french first spoke up about a small portion of the abuse in 1987 when he was 15, leading to moscrop being cautioned.
he was finally prosecuted after mr french revealed the full scale of the abuse in 2012, when he could no longer repress it after having children of his own.

I too have made contact with a few exJWs, who have no intention of going back, but they have all said they believe the JWs have it right and it is just not for them. It wasn't until we spoke further and I was able to show them they don't have it right that they realise their gut instinct was maybe correct and it is a bit of a relief to them -

Losing Faith
by cappytan ini've always been a "spiritual" person.
i've been an avid bible reader since as early as i can remember.
i read the bible cover to cover for the first time when i was about 17 years old and have read it at least twice more since then.

Decided to sign up...
by campaign of hate inso i decided to sign up after many years of lurking.
started researching after finding out about ray franz, which inevitably brought me to this site.. i'm still well and truly inn, but don't want to give any information out, i'm sure you guys know the reasons.. since "jay double you .
org" came online, there has been a definite sense of hysteria with everyone who is "inn", and i get a feeling it's going to get a whole lot crazier as the years press on.. one point i would like to raise is that i feel, without a doubt, that 2034 is going to be the new finish line.

Welcome, it's useful to know what the atmosphere is like from inside. It helps for those of us who still have family that are in. -

I am truly saddened by your story and so glad there are no children to grow up on this awful situation. This will be killing you quite literally. You have to find a way for it to end, why prolong the inevitable? Are you able to move to a different location? -

by myangelface ini am not a jw ...however i began having bible studies (i d call them watchtower studies).
i was beginning to get lured in and brainwashed into accepting the religion as the true religion...but something inside of me told me there was something odd.

Counsellor needed please!
by stuckinarut2 inhi all.. i have noticed that many of our forum members have sought professional help from counsellors who deal with ones like us who have broken free from high control groups or "cults".. my self esteem has been rocked by recent events in the cong, and while i know ttatt it still has taken my joy in life away quite a bit.. as you all know, mentally i broke free from the org several years ago, but now that i am trying to start making the physical break, i feel really unsettled and nervous.. i wonder if a good counsellor could assist in helping me clarify and sort my feelings and emotions , and provide help to take practical steps to cut all ties with the org?.
if anyone can provide ideas of good counsellors, it would be appreciated.. thanks everyone!.

I found help was referred by my doctor, but I have also visited a homeopath who gave me 'potions' to help my nerves and help me think properly, and I went to a lady that performed what she called Mind Detox which was also helpful.
In all these cases you need to click with them so you can relax and concentrate on getting yourself better

by Esse quam videri inif the watchtower society received an envelope containing a cheque for 1 million dollars, made out to the society, along with a letter explaining that the money was won from gambling, either casino or lottery, .
1] would they cash it?.
2] if they did not cash it but rather returned to sender, what explanation would they give?.

Of course they'd cash it, and then mail the sender a WT on the dangers of gambling! -

Welcome, a great and heart warming introduction from you. I think that the more immersed in it the harder it was to see it for what it really is, so well done for allowing your human nature to influence you. It's the WT that want people to dull their senses and accept everything without question.
