  Out of the great tribulation came ....blessings for the every tribe and people

  subject: out of the great tribulation came ....blessings for the every tribe and people....revelation 7 and 14. recently, i have been impressed with the escathology understanding of partial preterism.. the tribulation on the early first century christains was horrific.

  most of these christians died for their faith and that was the message from christ to the seven churches during this time to keep faithful during these terrible times.

  however, after this tribulation when christianity became acceptable by constantine, times were a lot better and despite the apostasy the basic good news was carried to the known world.. it dawn on me that out of that tribulation came the great crowd of "born again" believers that would complete spiritual israel (since only the symbolic small number were slaughtered) ....like out of the ashes came a great city or out of the rubble came a new beginning.

  i recently bought geza vermes new book, christian beginnings-from nazareth to nicaea, ad 30-325, i thought it may useful for a study unit i want to take next year, on the topic of early christian writings.

  these documents, such as the shepherd of hermas, help us to appreciate what early christians really believed and also provide details of their behaviour(s).. vermes*, as well as being extremely knowledgeable on the subject of the dead sea scrolls, is regarded scholastically, as one of the world's leading jesus scholars.. so to the point of this thread: on page 106 of my hardcover, allen lane/penguin, 2012 edition of this book, vermes commences analysing the status of christ in the pauline religion, and under that sub-heading he concludes that in (authentic) pauline theology, the son always occupies an inferior position, and draws on paul's writings to support his position.

  on pages 111,112 he lists texts to demonstrate that paul directed his prayers to god alone, and "never to jesus!

  In one seem very strange that if anyone is in UNION with Christ Jesus that no "spiritual" communication is going on.

  Man and women are one in marriage ,,.....guess whose talking ......

  Hebrews: 2:10-13...I will praise you among my brethren..... We can NOT pray the "our Father" prayer or call the all powerful Deity, FATHER without Christ leading us and praying with us in HIS righteousness.

  Sure did .....false prophets set dates. Spiritual Israel / Christianity is a way of life to conform to his image, as originally envisaged. Ephesians 1:3-14.

  *** A more parsimonious explanation would be that Jesus taught his disciples he would be returning within their own lifetime but he turned out to be a false prophet.****

  Well the understanding of partial and full preterism is that Jesus did return in 70 AD, for judgement on Jerusalem, He was seen by those who pierced him and the Jewish age ended with the resurrection and rapture for his church. So the new Jerusalem was established then.

  Recently, I have been impressed with the escathology understanding of PARTIAL preterism.

  The tribulation on the early first century Christains was horrific. Most of these Christians died for their faith and that was the message from Christ to the seven churches during this time to keep faithful during these terrible times. However, AFTER this tribulation when Christianity became acceptable by Constantine, times were a lot better and despite the apostasy the basic good news was carried to the known world.

  It dawn on me that out of THAT tribulation came the great crowd of "born again" believers That would COMPLETE spiritual Israel (since only the symbolic small number were slaughtered) ....Like out of the ashes came a great city or out of the rubble came a new beginning.

  It's pretty obvious that Christ held Everybody THEN and SINCE then to be FAITHFUL AND DISCRETE for what has been given to US !!!!!

  today there is a new post [on another website] commenting on the "new light" of the governing body about the identity of the "faithful discreet slave.

  " i think this "new light" from the governing body is intended to weaken the new stand of witnesses who are partaking in the emblems.

  No I don't believe that will happen. The org. Is just another group that spawned from the Adventist movement that puts them in the universal field mix of the wheat and the weeds. When the ANGELS do the gathering as Christ told us which is NOT a man made effort based on speculative escathology, then the sons and daughters will be revealed. Christ continues to be invisible present since Penticost as he promised until the harvest. The father has allowed all these denomination to exist for his own purposes, but we must follow his Christ Hebrews 1:1-13..first and foremost.

  our special assembly day is tomorrow, although, i dont live in the states though but still, i wont put the theme of my talk up here; you never can tell, but, i will be mentioning some of the main points i will be highlighting.

  1) how jehovah views secular education.

  2) what should we be doing now with our precious time, considering that we are living at the finishing line of our relay race.. 3) are we heeding to the instructions given by jehovah's bride?'.

  Jehovah has a bride ??? Oh, I forgot, they need to cut Christ out of every area of the R&F brain.

  I have personally come to the conclusion that the "bride" of Christ is the little flock of Israelites and some first century Christians after the temple was destroyed in 70AD.

  Heeding the instructions given by Christ's bride is called being consistent with the Christian Greek scriptures........

  I did some research on these guys, their philosophy and teaching is straight out of The Urantia Book

  Google search any topic. The 12 apostles article is word for word.

  These guys are not JWs....another cult looking for money.
