I am of the opinion that after the destruction of fleshly Jerusalem and Israel in 70 AD, that Christ raptured his church as promised. The New Jerusalem became a blessing to the nations through the scriptures they left behind, and Christ's prevailing Spirit as promised being available where two or three are gathered in his name. We are now living in the symbolic 1000 years, which will end some day in the final judgement.

Image of God - the Bible or Christ?
by tec inpeace to you!
i wanted to get some thoughts out there on this subject, because there are so many people who look to the bible as the image of god.
to the point that they do not look to christ at all, but rather they look to the law or to moses or to the ot as the image of god... over... christ.

John 5
39 You study [a] the Scriptures diligently because you think that in them you have eternal life. These are the very Scriptures that testify about me, 40 yet you refuse to come to me to have life.
Have a blessed night in his presence and grace, enabling us to worship our Father in Spirit and Truth.
Shalom Tec

Tell me if this is a stupid idea.
by DATA-DOG inyou know how you sometimes you are going about your day and then an idea hits you?
you say to yourself, " what a great idea!!".
then you think to yourself that maybe it isn't so great?

Good idea Data-Dog, however If it has not already been stated, based on the Scottish court case in 1954 when the WBTS was found guilty of propagating false prophesy, it was exposed that the r & f are expected to obey the current "understanding" as truth. To the Watchtower society we only exist to them from the shoulders down, NOT from the shoulders up !
Shalom friend.

Simply put, Its works OF salvation NOT works FOR salvation.
It is the enabling process in being united to Christ in his death and resurrection, (that a Christian's baptism signifies), the gift of the Holy Spirit aka, the eternal life quality of Jesus, that works out in our lives from spiritual babe, to whatever maturity is gain in the bipartisan conformity to Christs image in this mortal flesh to immortality in a resurrecton.
John 3:16...spiritual birth
Phillipians 1:16, Matthew 7:14-27, Matthew 13:8, Ephesians 4:13....Enabling progress and Growth.

**** Christ decides who is Christian; who is not****
The gift of Holy Spirit is available ALL. It is Jehovah's desire that all accept.
1 John 5:9-13
We accept human testimony, but God’s testimony is greater because it is the testimony of God, which he has given about his Son. 10 Whoever believes in the Son of God accepts this testimony. Whoever does not believe God has made him out to be a liar, because they have not believed the testimony God has given about his Son. 11 And this is the testimony: God has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. 12 Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life.

*****Would your average rank and file witness be aware of theocratic warfare? Is it still taught? ****
The older rank and file would know....
It is taught NOT in black and white, but IN apologetics.

And .....KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A Roman Catholic bishop was found guilty on Thursday of failing to report suspected child abuse, becoming the first American bishop in the decades-long sexual abuse scandal to be convicted of shielding a pedhile priest. In a hastily announced bench trial that lasted a little over an hour, a judge found the bishop, Robert W. Finn, guilty on one misdemeanor charge and not guilty on a second charge, for failing to report a priest who had taken hundreds of pornographic pictures of young girls. The counts each carried a maximum penalty of one year in jail and a $1,000 fine, but Bishop Finn was sentenced to two years of court-supervised probation.
A precedent has been set. ...
