  Yes, it pricked my Conscience for quite a while, however, all cults and even Hitler had "loyality tests" "pledges" and " vows" used for controlling people. I watched a YouTube video on Jim Jones last night and he used them frequently, and look where it got those people! ...

  The Old Testment mentions peace offerings for breaking vows, so what greater offering have Christians got but the mercy of God through Christ.

  That kind of thing didn't die in Jonestown.

  A lie .....I'm out over 20 years, never disfellowshipped, I got in touch with an elder friend and ex- work mate last year, while traveling, we exchange 1 phone call, 2 emails, he may have seen my blog on google (i have gmail) where I have a copy of ISOCF and has ignored me ever since....we are not even in the same country ....no skin of my nose.

That could put the state's two Republican senators in an awkward position.

  Sens. Jim Inhofe and Tom Coburn, both Republicans, are fiscal hawks who have repeatedly voted against funding disaster aid for other parts of the country. They also have opposed increased funding for the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), which administers federal disaster relief.

  Late last year, Inhofe and Coburn both backed a plan to slash disaster relief to victims of Hurricane Sandy. In a December press release, Coburn complained that the Sandy Relief bill contained "wasteful spending," and identified a series of items he objected to, including "$12.9 billion for future disaster mitigation activities and studies."

  I guess a more true statement would be SOME atheists blame God, have you not read the comments here.?

  ***Atheists ask believers to examine the logic in their belief.-*****

  I don't need an Atheists reminder, personal hardships in my life is the reality of the conflict. However, it's a condition and mind set that gets you through the situation as best it can, which SOME atheists here don't seem to have any frame work to get them through the situation other than the blame game. I would not consider " blame the god that does not exist" has helpful or inspiring !

  Here we go, people who don't believe God exists blaming him for this event and sundry. So now you believe in God so you can blame someone ! Be consistant with your atheism, and do something positive and helpful instead blaming someone that in your minds does not exist !
