this topic is of a theological nature.
if you have some scriptural insight, please share.
grievances are not welcome!.
If you are a preterist its all over, except king entropy having its final say.
i remember back in the day when i was a devout jw in the 90s elders would go to the hospital to try and see if a person took a blood transfusion.
i remember my cousin was having surgery after a severe car accident and if he did not take blood the doctor said he would have died.
the elder came to the hospital and badgered my cousin's wife until she told him my cousin did get some blood.
Watchtower "double speak" they report to media it's a conscientious decision As follows:
Ewen Watt, a spokesperson of Jehovah's Witnesses in Ireland, said blood transfusions were a matter for individual members to decide. He said:”
"That is a personal decision for each individual Christian to make. Each one of the Jehovah's Witnesses would have to make a decision with regard to that. ... The whole ethical position has been settled many years ago. Pediatricians, surgeons and doctors have a booklet with regard to what treatments can be carried out. And they recognize the right to bodily integrity.
LIES !

Blood transfusions are still banned.

HOLY OBEDIENCE TO GOD’S LAW ON BLOO
10. How important is it that we obey God’s law on blood?
10 Read Leviticus 17:10. Jehovah commanded the Israelites not to eat “any sort of blood.” Abstaining from blood—animal or human—is a Christian requirement as well.(Acts 15:28, 29) We shudder at the very thought of having God ‘set his face against us’ and cut us off from his congregation. We love him and want to obey him. Even when confronted with a life-threatening situation, we are determined not to cave in to the pleas and demands of those who do not know Jehovah and who do not care to obey him.
***Yes, we expect to be ridiculed for abstaining from blood, but we choose to be obedient to God.***(Jude 17, 18)
What view on this subject will strengthen us to “be firmly resolved” NOT to eat blood or accept ******a blood transfusion?******—Deut. 12:23.
"he is the image of the invisible god, the firstborn of all creation; because by means of him all [other] things were created in the heavens and upon the earth, the things visible and the things invisible, no matter whether they are thrones or lordships or governments or authorities.
all [other] things have been created through him and for him.
" (col. 1:15-17, for context.
Romans 1:20
God's invisible qualities--his eternal power and divine nature--have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made.
dna rna translation...once was invisible .....the bible seems to talk in terms of creation as the process of FROM a source THROUGH a copy of source ...which is the process how proteins are made from a source code DNA through messenger RNA and its interactions....just a though on how God as a source could fulfill and reconcile all things onto HIMSELF in his own divine code (copy) in action.
Just sayin ;)
today he kept bumping in to (or rather dodging and weaving from) fellow witnesses.
he's talking about returning but can't figure out a way to do it without enduring a fair amount of humiliation.
i did not panic.
Can you guys move ?
(The guilt is probably due to all those vows they made us take at conventions Etc. Like a marriage vow for better or for worse, he is a man of honor) I had to see they were not honorable, they lied to me !
I did not throw Christ out with the bath water, however, I never "JOINED" another church since I left over 20 years ago.
Went crazy after my wife died, 15 years ago and completely got lost in sex, alcohol and drugs.
Settled down with a southern baptist girl, a few years ago, and I do some volunteer work at a local Seventh day Adventist church, running their "EasyWorship" software for Saturday and Wednesday schedules, videos, sound systems etc... they don't know I'm a amillennium / partial Preterist ;)
Shalom, happy sabbath LOL
