have any of you became ex jw fanatics.

i have struggled with it since leaving 4 yrs ago.

how do you cope with it..

Yes, I can emphasize with being angry after being misled. I visited KHs and put literature on JW cars before I was run off the property. Constantly, seeking out JW in forums to expose their errors.

However, as I looked at the big picture and the example of the apostle Paul and his zeal as a pharisee, he showed in his letter to the Galatians that the law was a gift as a PEDAGOGY (Galatians 3:23-29) leading to Christ. If it were not for my search for the meaning of life as I studied with a work mate, I would not have come to appreciate the value of the scriptures. The WTS has the same record of success as does the AA and other support groups for a changed life. I believe the more we are responsible with what we learn from Gods dealing with imperfect creatures, the more capacity we have for more truth. As Christ said nobody can come to him unless the Father draws him, and nobody can reveal the Father except Christ. I now believe, I learned what I needed from the Watchtower org. as I took the good and left the bad. 1 Thessalonians 5:21 and moved on to a quiet life in Christ's peace.

Are They Cynically Shutting Down The Organization?

i've raised this idea before but recent events seem to support it.

changes in the watchtower may be guided by more than a need for cash flow: they may simply be liquidating/shutting it down as discreetly as possible.. of course, this doesn't mean they stop working on their upstate ny country club - but it could mean that the throrough going exposure and disproof of their beliefs on the internet, when it emerged, took many of them by surprize, as it did many of us!

after awhile, they generally gave up trying to make any sense of their doctrines - and coupled with cash flow issues - moved towards a quiet retreat.. take a look at a few things:.

It looks like they see the writing on the wall in terms of the digital world where printing is no longer a smart choice and anticipation of all sorts of backlash as their failed "generation" end time chronology, is now seen by the r&f as pure speculation and not from Jehovah. They closed a hugh distribution center in Ireland recently and I belive they are consolidating all over the world. A business can be run right from the Internet without all the bricks and mortar as they lock themselves in their bunkers with all our money.

I hope she is not giving your inheritance to the org. As they will play the poor mouth pretty soon as they continue to look for cash for law suits and their ongoing "fire" sale of property in NY to move to their new location.

Similarities between Roman Catholics and Jehovah`s Witnesses

both claim to be the sole path to god (or did at some point ).

both claim to reach back to first century christians ,( though jw`s are a bit ambiguous about this).

the r.c church has a pope , the j.w.`s have a governing body ,both providing spiritual food to the faithful.

Thats a far cry from Jesus's words "where 2 or 3 are gathered in my name".....the real earthly "church" is invisible" to this system, what is seen is temporary what is not seen is eternal. However, Babylon has its ordained place in history.

Correction ... So yes I agree with you, that on earth man made "doctrines" within Christianity are divisive, and so the wheat and the weeds remain together.

Nostonecutters ....I have some preference for PARTIAL Preterism/Amillenism eschatology which belive the "church" and spiritual Israel has been ruling in the heavens after carnal Israel and the earthly temple was destroyed in 70 AD. I believe the 1000 years is symbolic and is still in progress.

The "church" on earth however, has always been a mixture of wheat and weeds and still is. The "Doctrines" in the Nllama all about the new life in Christ to be enabled to overcome sin and death. The isogesis "doctrines" that developed over the years may or may not be harmful. The TEST of all doctrine is, does it lead to righteous living through GRACE as works OF salvation rather than works FOR salvation. In Revelation 21:8 those NOT allowed To drink from the water of life are UNGODLY and leading carnal lives, I dont see any "doctrines" mentioned that separates One from life in CHRIST.

So yes I agree with you, that on earth man made divisions within the wheat and weeds are divisive. That will continue until the final battle and the final judgement. We just don't throw the baby out with the bath water. The doctrine of a new creation through participating in the death of Christ and sharing in his resurrection is the foundation. Eschatology is mentally challengeing but NOT a formula for salvation.

Has the WT ever apologized for changing their stance on something?

i'm in the middle of reading coc.

it's very eye opening.

but on thinking about how the gb finally changed their stance on allowing civil service instead of prison when a christian was face with military service, it makes me wonder if the wt ever apologizes for any reversal of beliefs it imposes?

Watchtower using MK Ultra/Monarch programming?

monarch programming also produces candidates for manchurian operations.. anyways, it seems that the cia could definitely benefit by using the watchtower to carry out some of this programming, as the structure of the watchtower kingdom halls makes it easy for predators to abuse kids with impunity.. i did a search on this forum and found at least one person who claims to have been a victim of this, if i am reading correctly.
