David Splane does not bow head when giving a prayer!
by VM44 inthis is a report in spanish conerning david splane giving a prayer at a convention.. perhaps someone can translate it better, but google translate gave the following:.
during prayer, should no longer be necessary to bow his head in a mass meeting, as was splane throughout the prayer, head up, down, left and right looking at all tiers, not hiding in the least.. so splane is looking all around at the sudience while giving a prayer?!!!.
can someone confirm that is what the spanish text says?.

Good Friend of mine gets a response to his letter about Russell...
by confusedandalone inso a good friend of mine who had an issue with the fact that charles taze russell was given the understanding of 2520 and 1914 etc.. and was not of the faithful slave.
he asked how could it be possible that jah would bless someone who was not part of his organization to have such understanding after reading the july 15 wt.
he read me the letter as a way to help me understand and accept the watchtower.

I was always surprised and actually mad because of the fact that they put a lot of emphasis on a "person". I mean... it sometimes looked more like idolatry to me! So I was actually quite happy with the fact that he was a nutcase just like rutherford. I finally understood...

In the Netherlands there is a part that is called "the bible belt" and there are a lot of children now getting the mazles and other deceases which had not been seen in such a large scale since decades. It even hit the news. Because of their believesystem a lot of people to not immunitize their kids because they say that if they do they do not trust God. As a result not only children but elder people get ill (and much worse then the kids).
I never hear that complaint of them when they are hit by a truck and need immediate care... then faith in God is not required. It is all so hypocritacal.
There is, by the way, one situation I do not like kids to be immunitized. That situation was also in the Netherlands where they imminutize 14-16 year olds for uterine cancer... it is a fairly new immunitizing medicine and they do not fully know yet what the conscequenses are. Some kids actually died because they got immunitized so in SOME situations it may be wise to reconscider. In MOST cases however it is plainly stupid NOT to immunitize.

Can you take someone with you in Judicial Committee?
by zound ini've heard of a couple of cases of a person being present (maybe wife, or friend) for support at judicial committees - is this commonly accepted by the elder committee or is it just a rarity?.

@1009 ... there is ONE particular reason why I hate this cult (not necessarily the people in it mind!):
- I have been lied to for 35 years ... now if you get lied to by other people and are NOT a bit mad after such a long periode of time you are probably non-human. Also... these lies have had a huge impact in me as a person and all the things I absolutely missed by being a jdub. What makes things worth: I was worthless for most youngsters that were inside the cult as well... so... yeah... I have the absolute right to be pissed!
Also... seen from your words you probably have no people that you "miss" ... well ... you probably have no one in this cult like wife, kids and other relatives...
If you DO then you are probably an emotionless person who does not give a shit about people that are being lied to.
I am sorry to state it that way but in this case I just wanted to be perfectly clear...
