I am happy I left but I am not happy with my life... One of the reasons is the fact that the rest is in... So I am actually "standing still"

DC 2013: last talk

i was at the third day of a dc yesterday and in the last speech the brother who gave the talk said something like this in just one sentence:.

"we now understand that the faithfull slave is the governing body, not a the whole class of annointed, but the brothers in hq are the faithfull slave".

i was absolutely surprised by the fact that he just told it "straight out" and not in cryptical craptalk.

Local Needs Talk: Brothers must repair dents and scratches on their vehicles...

so about 8 years ago, we had a local needs talk about dents an scratches !!!!

it was given by the cobe and this guy was just your normal everyday elder.

except he had his occasional pet peeves... like (you guessed it) dents and scratches on some of the brothers' vehicles.

"You are absolutely right... I need to fix it... now give me 1500 dollars to repair my car"

Yesterday I visited the last day of the JW convention: Your word is Truth. I was bored most of the program and when one of the speeches was being held I took the program and looked at the saturday part (apostate bladibla). Now... I will be attending the saturdaypart next week (and will try to make a copy in dutch of the talk). The text that was written next to that particular topic was the following 1 John 2:19 which states:

They went out from us, but they were not of us; for fif they had been of us, they would have continued with us. But they went out, gthat it might become plain that they all are not of us.

Now... I do hate it when things are taking totally out of context so here is a bigger part of the scriptures that quote came from

1 John 2

18 Children, ait is the last hour, and as you have heard that bantichrist is coming, so now cmany antichrists have come. dTherefore we know that it is the last hour. 19 eThey went out from us, but they were not of us; for fif they had been of us, they would have continued with us. Ok... so what is the text REALLY telling us? Who ARE the antichrist? And maybe even more importantly: to WHOM was John speaking: people from OUR time or people from the past?

so what is the text REALLY telling us

1. the truth according to John is that Jesus the Christ ... the untruth (or lies) are those that do not confess that Jesus is the Christ

2. the antichrist was probably NEVER annointed and was NEVER with them for real. Like a Gestapo agent who tries to be part of a group, participates but has a other agenda (namely getting everyone out). The anti-christ was NEVER annointed in the first place, they were never REALLY a part of the Christian Congregation.

to WHOM was John speaking: people from OUR time or people from the past?

The above is actually even more important because it shows that the whole talk is taking John totally out of contest... also... since JW's like to calculate things I would really like to know how I must see the "final hour" in the 1000 years=1 day idea? To me it shows that the anointing etc etc all has already taken place...

Another Suicide

there wouldn't have been any good way to hear the news i suppose.

it's just so strange to recall the conversation yesterday.

my "still in" parents are with me and my inactive sister having a pleasant conversation.

I sadly know out of first hand how it feels to loose a person who commited suicide. It happened 15 years ago but I remember it although it all happened yesterday. My best friend ringed me on an evening asking me if we wanted to go out... I told him I couldn't, besides, we had gone the evening before... I told him we could go next week... he hanged himself that evening.
