  Just curious: Christ died for all mankind. You could argue that God directed him to do so; however, he had free will and chose to give his life. Because of this sacrifice you claim to have the possible future of paradise on earth and freedom from sin. This freedom can only be attributed to Christ (since, again, he had free will). Therefore, you enjoy that freedom because of an individual whom you feel is NOT God. Is this, or is this not idolatry under your guideline as quoted above?

  the issue is as old as eden itself, that being: does god have the right to tell us what to do?

  that core question, more than anything else, defines what jehovahs witnesses are about, in that we are outspoken advocates and supporters of jehovahs right as sovereign to require obedience from his creatures.

  the flip side of that is, of course, rebellion against god, which is expressed in numerous ways and on all levels of society.

  If I remember correctly, my parents believed that Armageddon would come in 1975. Does that mean that most of my life was devoted to rebelling against rebels?

  If Adam had not sinned, would he be in heaven now?

  one of the ways the wt tries to get you into believing you are not going to heaven even if you d not have faith in christ is by saying that if adam had not sinned we would all be living in a paradise earth.

  the publication "reasoning from the scriptures" states on page 162: "it wa not jehovah's original purpose for man someday to die.......death was to be punishment for disobedience, not the doorway to a better life in heaven.

  obedience would have ben rewarded by continued life, eternal life, in the paradise that god had given to man.

  I've thought about this before. I guess I question their reasoning. True, God directed Adam and Eve to "fill the earth." Does that mean that His plans ended there? How does the Society know what His purpose for mankind was after that? For all we know, He planned for the earth to be filled and then to raise some or all to heaven. Or perhaps He planned to populate other planets. To say that we were not intended for heaven is just speculation based on their original directive. Just my thoughts.

  Toilet Seat Up Or Down??????

  we have no problems in our relationship about the toilet seat.

  but others seem to make a big deal as to whether the guy should leave it down for us ladies.. what's your take on this?

  take into account ladies that if a man puts it down, and we leave it down, he has to always be putting it up.

  Personally, always down (including lid), whether with a woman or not. I don't particularly enjoy looking at toilet water. Kinda nasty.

  ok,...this is no sales pitch, but i've found a way of loosing excess weight and getting muscle definition... all in only 2 months.. i lost 22kg in 2 months,...seriously and i eat like a king.. want to know more????....
