my sister was a pioneer for decades.

she loved the jehovah's witness religion with all her heart and nobody anywhere could have tried harder to live its teachings.

but now, finally .... she's washed her hands of the jehovah's witnesses once and for all.

LSD to Uphold Blood Sacrifices in Near Future!

these sacrifices have continued at all times, from adam until jesus christ, but whether they should continue subsequently is disputed by some.

this is because the ordinances of god have been changed by man.. .

in these latter days, the lord god has restored the fullness of the gospel to the earth, and opened up the dispensation of the fullness of times.

remember - this is the information our jw relatives will study in their witness meetings at their watchtower study.

this is what they are currently being indoctrinated with.

my sister, a devoted jw of many decades, has chosen to attend another church.

she has been given a period of time to come to her senses and get back in line.

hopefully, she won't make that mistake.. the way she's being treated now by her former friends and leaders caused her to remark to me, "i never realized before how much they are like a cult.".

i havn't posted in quite a while.. i thought we could move on.. .but my 8 year old is the most incredbly hurt brokenhearted girl by having her life-long friend ripped away by us leaving the organization.

i tried to leave quietly, we're not dfed or anything... but her mother, my former best friend will not let the girls talk.. write.. contact ... period.

my daughter is still crying all the time.

wow - the striking similarities to cults stood the hair on my neck.

the pictures in the 'prophecy book' looked amazingly watchtoweresque also, and lead the lead character to immediately investigate 'biblical numerology'.

i had seen it before - but there must be less and less fog in my mind nowadays - since i didn't see any of the same similarities i saw when i watched it last night.

in the 10/15/08 wt, page 16, there is a very small filler article on a 15th century german cardinal who used the name "jehovah" (or its equivalent in 15th century german, at least) in a sermon he wrote.

sorry, no scanner.. anyway, part of that sermon he wrote, in which he references the name "jehovah", is quoted.

but wait a minute, what's this?

i'll miss this site more than i can say.. i do want to post what i consider to be a success story, due mainly to the information i've received over the years on this site.. .

my sister is a long-time jw, a forever pioneer, etc.

she's also poor, uneducated, and suffered a horrific childhood, but that's another story.

this is my take on the whole inherited sin thing:.

let's say your parents committed a crime and were sentenced to life in prison, let's say 140 years.

now, they died 90 years short of their sentence.
