  Finally "they" have reinstated me! that was easy!!!

  It was rather quick one. In just few months and after attending all of their meetings and giving them a nice show, I'm back to the Org!!! (what a relief-sarcastic laugh)

  For someone who was out, more than 17 years it is quite a shocking experience. Nothing reminds me of the WT that I knew and grew up back in the 80's as a teenager and the 90's. The entire dogma changed, meetings changed, the songs changed. I was quite surprised to see WT going complete online and on the internet. While back in my days, internet was devil's tool, now WT is completely on line. You can download the magazines, books(for sure not the old ones from Russell/Rutherford era, or even Franz, since they now consist apostate material), Kingdom Ministry, or whatever is called now and the Bible, they even have TV!!!

  I recall in my youth WT was focusing to create preachers with skills, now they suggest to have a tablet and show the message from WT's website to the people the meet in the preaching work. In the Ministry School (still remember the old names) there are now videos, cartoons, and video optical material...

  Most of Jw's children, and that includes elder's children as well, are seeking for higher education.

  I don't know what the future will be for the WT, but the quality of the meetings and comments, are so poor. Most of the JW's have no clue in regards of past teachings and failed prophesies, plus I believe the majority of JW's are tired and trying to live a normal life.

  In one of the recent WT Study articles, it was a comment of Jesus being King for 102 years! And I nearly say it loud: " so 1000 years of the Kingdom are down to 900 since Jesus rules from 1914. So He has less than 900 to bring mankind to perfection...."

  Hopefully I will follow the plan and in few months I will start to miss meetings, and become inactive again

  bringing together all of the stories they told thus far and placing them int he "new world" complete with the little boy who was killed in a car accident coming back from the dead.. i have a good friend who is stuck in with family and plays the role.

  he said everyone was crying, and the people next to him rated the videos by how many tissues they needed to dry their eyes.

  i don't really engage in doctrinal discussions about jw's anymore.

  they seem to say some pretty crazy stuff.

  but i have read some threads discussing doctrinal changes and how watchtower is really out of ideas and money at the same time.

  With the WT you never know what's their next step, or "New Light"....for sure they able to pick up something and through it to the rank and file as the new light!!!

  Today's WT. Jephthah's Daughter - Virgin Slave or Crispy Critter?

  i whiled away the time today in the wt researching the above question on line.

  it seems to me that there is more evidence to say that the account simply depicts the poor nameless child/woman as being toast.

  the idea of her going into "tabernacle service" is completely fabricated and has no basis in scripture.

  As usual in the "Hebrew Scriptures" that mostly we have myths and stories, copied from the nations surrounding them by the so called, "God's Chosen Nation" completely ignores the name of the Jephthah's daughter! Like many other examples we have the same pattern being repeated, when women is involved, either in good or bad act. Not a surprise at all, if we take into consideration that we are dealing with misogynist nomads, living in the desert, and woman (as it still happening in that area even today) it is considered an object....

  And I will take the bad examples: Why there is no name of Lot's wife? And what about the 2 daughters, that had sexual intercourse with their own father? It is also very weird, that for the same reason that "God" destroyed the 2 cities of Sodom and Gomorrah, sexual immorality, God does't perform the same standards of justice to Lot and his daughters...

  Berkshire Circuit (UK)

  i'm hearing rumours of huge changes within the berkshire circuit here in the uk .

  congregations being dispanded and kingdom halls closing down and being sold off.... official announcements within the next month apparently .

  does anyone else have anymore info?.

  My brother died last night

  i found out this morning that my brother died last night, he was also an ex jw, 73 years old and died of heart disease and kidney failure.

  it was not totally unexpected, as he had been in poor health, but it's a blow, especially as i just lost another brother two years ago.

  there were six of us, now only four.
