One aspect of the Bible I still greatly benefit from
by Ireneus inthough many things in the bible do not make sense to me, there is something in it that makes my life easy.. this is how i arrived at it.
bible defines god as the servant of his children because he makes provisions for the enjoyment of life in abundance (mathew 5:44-47) and ‘renews’ them if need arises (mathew 19:28) with no intervention whatsoever in between which means he is not interested in gratitude/worship from his children.
yet history shows that people forget him in happiness and remember him only in distress which means he is not given love (though he is the giver of love), and he is not bothered of it.

and kill every woman who has slept with a man, but save for yourselves every girl who has never slept with a man.” (numbers 31:17, 18).
in the midst of killing and plundering, how were the israelites to determine whether each girl “has slept with a man” or not?.

Werent bible writers inspired by god Venus? So then, it stands to reason, god inspired people to mislead others. Or, the bible is stories created by ancient nations and then mashed together over time. Inspired by the people to control the people.
Of course, people are free to believe whatever. Whether its true or just personal musings is a moot point however....

Theres quite a few versions of this doing the rounds. Dr Eric Burgh has a youtube channel in which he explains much of the science behind it.
I can vouch for it too, since last June i’v lost nearly 60lbs. Eaten like a king! No hunger or cravings at all. In fact, I dont think about what I eat, just do it automaticaly.

Good books
by Freedom rocks incan any one recommend any good books to read that have come out in the last few years?
i haven't read a good book in a long time and i'd like to get into reading again.
i'm not into autobiographies or sports books.

Ken Follet has a series starting with Pillars of the Earth. Starting in the 1200’s, he uses fictional characters but in an acurate historical setting.
It charts history right through to the ‘80’s, staying with the descendants of the original characters. 6 books in total, about 6 months of fab reading! I’v been through them twice.

sorry I did rant a bit yesterday, but we try to make the best of being robbed of our choices by the org, and to some, window cleaning is the lowest form of employment. As if thats all the person is good at and can ever hope to achieve.
Every time its mentioned on here, its a blunt reminder of being robbed. And the embarrassment of being led on.
Some make it work well, some dont or cant. But we all deserve our dignity, even more so as the org took ours. 👍

Point taken Dub, I think its the general assumption that window washers hate the job, dont get paid very well, and get told to better themselves and go to uni all the time. Otherwise they will always be second class.
Its a job. Not a class system.
