Sad news - Our friend Larc

some of you may remember larc and zazuwitts, who used to post here regularly.. .

i heard from zazu today that sadly larc passed away this morning.

he died peacefully in his sleep of heart failure.

Do you ever feel guilty about reverse shunning?

i've been feeling guilty lately.

i come from a very close family.

we all love eachother in our own disfunctional way...lol!.

Hmmmm,I'm sorry that you're going threw that.In my opinion,I wouldn't go around anyone who was rude and uncaring towards me.What about your feelings?How are the children going to react seeing their grandmother behave this way towards you?I always look at how things are going to effect my children.

I wouldn't feel guilty about doing the reverse shunning at all,they want it to bother you,they want you to give in and do what they feel is best.Be happy and brush it all off as best as you can.I have been shunned by my oldest daughter's family,well the ones that are jw's,and I let them know it doesn't do anything negative to me at all.

The Human Jukebox dies

grimes posnikov, the human jukebox died at 59.

for anyone who visited the san francisco wharf in the 70's and 80's you will certainly remember him.

the article said he developed schizophrenia and died from alcohol posioning as a homeless man.

I don't think I ever heard of him,sad story for sure. So many people with schizophrenia,end up on the streets and are misunderstood.

Is it possible that a child molester is NOT a pedophile?

i realize many here have (unfortunately) much more experience with this sort of thing than i do.

any personal insight, or direction to research material, would be appreciated.. there was a letter to all boes about 8-10 years ago, saying that if an appointed elder had any incidents of child abuse in his history, he had to step forward & admit such, so that his status as an elder could be reviewed.

none of the elders in this congregation said anything.. it was later (maybe 5 years ago) discovered that one of the elders had sexually abused his daughters some time in the 80's, before his appointment.

If it isn't legal to participate in sexual conduct with a girl under 18 years of age because that is considered pedophilia and child molestation, shouldn't it also be illegal for girls under 18 to wear makeup, jewelry, and sexually suggestive clothes (like their high school name written on the butt of their shorts)?

That is where a resonable mature grown up conducts themselves properly and realizes THEY are the adult and know it is wrong to presue under age children,regardless of how they look. I can tell the difference between a young man and a MAN,and I have no desire for a young man.
